Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, And Soccer Star Neymar Score Love Triangle
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez once shared the same relationship goals. And even though they have not been spotted together for some time, the two repeatedly are linked to each other. Signs that a reconciliation is still possible keep resurfacing, such as Justin recently following Selena again on Instagram, noted Hollywood Life.
Now there’s speculation that a new love triangle has formed in celebrity land, and it involves Bieber, Gomez, and soccer superstar Neymar Jr., with some rumors that Selena and the athlete are actually secretly dating.
Gomez, 23, and Neymar, 24, were seen leaving the same hotel within just a few minutes of each other. Sending out new couple alert signals, Selena and Neymar also partied that night at the Up & Down.
But there’s a complication to the possible romance between the “Hands to Myself” singer and the soccer star. And that’s the friendship between Bieber and Neymar, a source told Hollywood Life.
“Neymar definitely thinks Selena is stunning, but he wouldn’t break bro-code with Justin and try and date her,” shared the insider. “He’s really building up a great bond with Justin while he’s staying in LA, and the pair have become really close.”
Bieber and Neymar have spent time playing soccer and listening to music together, leading to respect for the skills that each guy possesses. As a result of that respect, it might be problematic for Neymar to take his relationship with Gomez to the level.
“Neymar would never betray Justin…He’s just too good a friend,” added the insider.
But would it really be a betrayal, or has Justin gradually been seeking substitutes for Selena? Hollywood Life points out that although Bieber’s new music video contains the message “Love You,” it’s not known if it’s meant for Selena or one of his many other on-and-off girlfriends, such as Hailey Baldwin, Kourtney Kardashian, or Nicola Pietz.
The timing of Bieber’s new friendship with Neymar to coincide with Selena’s reported date with the soccer star is suspicious, noted ET.
Just hours after Gomez and Neymar left the same New York City hotel almost simultaneously and then spent time at the Up & Down nightclub, Justin shared a video in which he was playing with the soccer star.
“@neymarjr and I messin around in my backyard,” posted the Biebs.
Justin did something similar last December in terms of putting up an Instagram post that caused his fans to speculate if it was related to Selena. Soon after it was revealed that Gomez and hockey star Tom Wilson were flirting, Bieber shared views in which he was showing off his own hockey skills.
Even though Justin and Neymar Jr. reportedly are buddies, speculation continues that Selena and the soccer star are more than friends, according to Latina.
The buzz began when they left that New York City hotel a mere five minutes apart, although she and Neymar had met just a few days earlier. Then came the sighting of both the athlete and singer at the Up & Down.
As for what Gomez has said when it comes to her dating life? While she admits she is dating, she isn’t naming names. Instead, she confessed that she does have a weakness when it comes to falling for “bad boys,” leading to trust issues, but that hasn’t stopped her from going ahead and having fun.
“I’ve been dating. I’ve been having the best time,” revealed Selena. “But I don’t trust anybody, so dating can only be fun if I know I’m going to have fun.”
