Selena Gomez’s New Bangs Remind Justin Bieber ‘Of When They Were First Together’

According to reports, Justin Bieber is a fan of Selena Gomez’s new bangs for very sentimental reasons.

A new report by Hollywood Life is claiming that Justin has seen Selena’s sleek new hairdo, which she showed off on Instagram June 8, and Gomez’s new style is allegedly taking him back in time to when the two first got together way back in 2010.

“Justin thinks Selena looks super hot with bangs, he loves that hairstyle on her because it reminds him of when they were first together,” an insider close to Bieber told the site of how Justin really feels about Gomez changing up her look.

“He thinks she’s gorgeous no matter what but bangs are his favorite look on her, he’s sentimental,” the insider continued.

Selena Gomez showed off her new look to the world on Instagram on June 8 after she took to the social media site to post a short video of herself at the Coca-Cola offices, where she was proudly sporting her new bangs.

Nine Zero One stylist Marissa Marino also showed off Gomez’s new cut on social media, posting what appeared to be a selfie of Selena alongside the caption “Bangin” and the hashtag #revivaltour.

But while some fans speculated that Selena’s new cut wasn’t actually permanent, Cosmopolitan reached out to Marissa, who confirmed that Gomez’s new style is, in fact, here to stay.

According to the site, Marino’s agent confirmed Selena Gomez’s hair change-up, revealing in an email to the site that “the bangs are 100 percent real” and is not simply a clip-on hair piece.

“Marissa and Selena really wanted to switch it up and give her a fun edgier look for summer!” the email read.

Although neither Selena nor Justin have ever publicly spoken out about each other’s hair changes, it sounds like hair is pretty important business for Gomez and Bieber, as this isn’t the first time Hollywood Life has claimed that the two have bonded over haircuts.

The site claimed back in May that Bieber opted to get rid of his polarizing dreadlocks because Gomez allegedly asked him to ditch the style in favor of a more clean-cut appearance.

“Selena wasn’t a big fan of his dreadlocks,” a source close to the former couple said. “She thinks he looks more handsome and stylish now with his shorter, clean-cut look.”

A source claimed that Selena was supposedly also worried about the state of Bieber’s hair, which has become somewhat of the singer’s trademark, causing Gomez to urge him to stop bleaching his locks after Bieber began sporting a much lighter ‘do.

“As far as Justin’s hair being pretty much back to his natural color, that was Selena’s suggestion,” Hollywood Life claimed earlier this year of Bieber’s change. “She had been telling him from the get go that bleaching his hair over and over again would ultimately damage it and break the ends off.”

The site also claimed back in January that Selena had strong opinions when it comes to which hairstyles suit Justin best just after Bieber debuted a purple-tinted look at the start of the year.

“Selena actually likes Justin’s purplish-pastel hue,” a source told the site in January. “She prefers it to his yellow tones. She’s always thought that Justin had great hair, but he’d better be careful coloring it so much because it’s starting to look damaged.”

The site’s source then added that Selena’s “favorite color is Justin’s natural brown hair” because that was the color of the Bieber’s hair “when she first fell in love with him.”
