Pregnant ‘Big Brother’ Star Jordan Lloyd Admits She Was A Little Bummed She’s Having A Baby Boy—But Now She’s Good

Jordan Lloyd broke pregnant mama code: The Big Brother Season 11 winner admitted she had a major preference when it comes to the gender of her baby — and says she was even disappointed at first when she found out she was having a boy.

Jordan Lloyd and her husband Jeff Schroeder posted their baby gender reveal on their Jeff & Jordan TV YouTube channel, and Lloyd admits she was “not happy” and “a little bummed” when she first found out their baby is a boy. In fact, you can see the shock on Jordan’s face when she gets the phone call from the doctor. In the video, Jordan says she was convinced she was having a girl and really wanted one because she’s around guys all the time.

While Jordan wasn’t initially happy about the boy news, Jeff admitted he was happy about getting his firstborn son out of the way. He said he’s pretty sure he and Jordan will have more kids, but now he knows his family name will live on.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Jordan Lloyd admitted she was completely convinced she was pregnant with a girl, so the doctor’s call threw her through a loop.

“I was 100 percent positive that I was having a girl. And I already had the name picked out,” Jordan told Us. “I wasn’t excited at first [about having a boy], but then Jeff definitely put me in check. He goes, ‘What are you upset? It’s a healthy baby!’ … I just felt like I would bond a little bit better with a girl.”

Jordan admitted that she even had doctors double check the baby’s gender at her last ultrasound, just to make sure.

“Last time we did the ultrasound, I made them look at the penis just to confirm!” Jordan said. “If it was our fourth kid, I think we could wait.”

In a previous interview with Us, Jordan Lloyd point blank said all she wanted was a baby girl.

“I hope it’s a girl! That’s all I want, is a healthy girl,” Lloyd said in April. “I’m around guys all the time!”

It didn’t take long for the news to sink in, though, and now Jordan Lloyd says she is happy that she is pregnant with a healthy baby boy.

“That’s all we care about,” Jordan said.

In fact, she seems to have had no trouble switching from tutus to T-ball.

“I was talking to Jeff the other day and I was like, ‘I’m going to put him in T-ball. I’m going to sign him up for things like that,'” Lloyd said.

Schroeder said he is ready to do typical dad things with his son, like play sports and take him fishing.

“[I just want to] teach him things — take him to the ocean and teach him how to surf,” Jeff said.

While the couple is good with the baby’s gender, in the reveal video, Jordan said she and Jeff are having trouble deciding on a boy name. Jordan said the names she picked out are more Southern, while Jeff said his names are more “off the beaten path.”

Jordan Lloyd and Schroeder met on the CBS reality show Big Brother in 2009 and got engaged on camera during season 16 in 2014. Earlier this year, the couple scrapped the big wedding and tied the knot in a secret ceremony at a California courthouse after they found at Lloyd was pregnant.
