Ayesha Curry & Freshly Picked Launch Baby Shoe Collection, NBA Star Steph Curry Inspires Project

Ayesha Curry joined forces with Freshly Picked, a leather baby moccasin company, according to US Weekly. The colorful baby shoe collection will include soft-soled baby moccasins called “Pink Lemonade,” “Mint Chip,” and “Fan Favorite.” Since collaborating with Curry, Freshly Picked had their biggest day of sales.

This newest collaboration can be added to Ayesha’s growing list of accomplishments. The Los Angeles Times reports Ayesha, 27, recently announced she will be hosting her own cooking show on the Food Network.

Susan Peterson, the founder of Freshly Picked, connected with the NBA wife in 2012 via her blog. The Freshly Picked staff then built rapport with Ayesha, according to ABC News.

“I connected with [them] when Riley was just a baby…I just started my blog and Susan and her company were the first people to take notice and build a rapport with me. We hit it off instantly…This collaboration is the first time I get to design footwear for children and couldn’t be more thrilled to be doing it with Susan and Freshly Picked. What makes this so special is that collection was inspired by my daughters.”

While “Pink Lemonade” is inspired by Stephen’s favorite drink, Ayesha and Freshly Picked presents “Fan Favorite” to Warriors fans. The royal blue and golden yellow hues are a nod to husband, Steph Curry’s NBA team, the Golden State Warriors.

Freshly Picked founder and CEO Susan has great things to say about working with Ayesha.

“Working with Ayesha has been a dream, and this collection has been an aspiration of mine since we met. We are so excited to not only launch this collection, but to also look forward to other projects we’re working on together.”

Ayesha and Freshly Picked wanted to create an exclusive baby collection that is “a mix of all things sweet.” Ayesha worked closely with the Freshly Picked team, including CEO Peterson. Curry submitted photos and ideas of things that inspired her designs, according to People.

The Freshly Picked website says the collection was inspired by “two of Ayesha’s loves, her family and her cooking.” The dotted teal moccasins called “Mint Chip” are inspired by Ayesha’s favorite ice cream.

The baby moccasin shoe company looks forward to future collaborations with the rising star. Ayesha discusses her enthusiasm for her shoe collection to US Weekly.

“I am so thrilled to be collaborating with Freshly Picked on this collection…It’s adorable and delicious, yet still fashion forward — yummy little moccasins to cover those yummy little toes.”

Ayesha is mom to little girl, 3 ½-year-old Riley and son Ryan who is 11 months. Ayesha says she wasn’t interested in fashion or design before having kids. Curry tells People she had a difficult time finding the right pieces for her daughters.

“I suddenly became the pickiest person on the planet and felt that I could never find the right pieces for my little girls!”

Ayesha Curry’s Infamous Twitter Wars

Ayesha inadvertently made headlines when a video clip surfaced of Ayesha cheering on her husband, NBA star and Golden State Warriors point guard, Steph Curry. This incited another Ayesha Curry twitter war.

“You can’t help but feel something when you watch him and the Warriors play…They evoke emotion out of people from children to grannies. That’s special. I feel like all of the little characters from the movie ‘Inside Out’ when I watch. I’m so emotional about my DUBS.”

Riley Curry burst onto the scene with an adorable clip of her dancing to “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” by Silentó. In November 2015, Riley Curry became a well known scene stealer at her father’s games and interviews. During this time, Freshly Picked began their collaboration involving Ayesha’s adorable kids. Oldest daughter, Riley Curry broke into the modeling world in Freshly Picked’s fall campaign, according to US Weekly. Riley also rocked the shoe line’s golden hard-top moccasins while cuddling the family dog. Ayesha says she is sure not to give Riley more than she can handle in regards to the public spotlight, ABC News reports.

“Riley is aware that her daddy plays basketball and that I cook, but I don’t think she’s aware of what that means…I’d like to keep it that way for as long as possible but we have two sassy, brilliant little girls on our hands. I’m bracing myself for the day they realize.”

Roni Rose, Golden State Warrior Fan Gives Stephen Curry A Seductive Gaze

A woman at a Golden State Warrior’s game made headlines by trying to capture Steph’s attention with a seductive stare. The woman says she was trying to give the team “motivation” during Game 2 of NBA finals on June 5.

Ayesha’s husband has risen to the top of the NBA, leading his team to a league-record 73 wins this season while demolishing NBA 3-pointer record. Curry ended the season with the first unanimous MVP win in the league’s history, according to SB Nation. The Curry’s have not commented on the latest scandal. Instead, Ayesha has been growing her brand, and her craft.

“I’ve been cooking since I was 12 years old for my entire family and now cook for my own little family and I’m thrilled to share it with you…For anyone who truly knows me, they know food is my way of making people feel great and warm and happy.”

Ayesha’s cook book, The Seasoned Life: Food, Family, Faith and the Joy of Eating Well will hit book stores in September. Many offers to design clothing lines have come Ayesha’s way, ABC News reports —yet, she remains grounded and focused on her original passion which is, “family and building my brand in the culinary world.”
