‘Walking Dead’ Star Norman Reedus Interns At Esquire [Video]

The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus has been staying busy during the off-season making videos, special shows, and giving interviews to the press. But his new adventure is a little too funny for words.

It appears as though The Walking Dead may not be enough of a challenge for Norman Reedus, who’s sideshow Ride With Norman Reedus has not kept him busy enough with his fans. The actor who portrays Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead has also done a stint with popular magazine company Esquire, which appears to be just a spoof video for his fans and fans of the magazine, as reported by Comic Book.

As fans of The Walking Dead already know, Norman Reedus likes his bikes. But in an office environment, the only bike he is allowed to ride has pedals and a basket in front of it. That’s because Reedus played the role of an intern for a short stint at Esquire magazine, starring as himself in the lead role.

It was obviously just a fun little sketch that The Walking Dead star did, but he has been doing quite a few of them here lately for various reasons. It might be to promote The Walking Dead in the off-season. It might also be to promote Ride With Norman Reedus. One thing that is for sure though is that Reedus has been staying in front of the camera a lot lately, which might not be the best sign for fans of the show. We’ll get to those reasons later.

This funny video featuring Norman Reedus as an intern at Esquire just highlights how much humor The Walking Dead actor truly has in him, which can also be highlighted in his cult-hit films, The Boondock Saints.

It starts off with Norman Reedus showing his lack of knowledge about a computer, asking how to use a shortcut, to pasting words on a document. He quickly followed that up with a little nod to The Shining, repeatedly pasting the phrase, “all work and no play makes norman wanna kill you.” For those who are unfamiliar, Jack Nicholson also did a similar thing when he was typing his stage play while in residence at the Overlook Hotel in The Shining film.

But there were also those moments when The Walking Dead actor rode his bike throughout the office delivering magazines to various offices and throwing them against the wall, shamelessly. It really served to drive the point home that Norman Reedus has a lot in common with his alter ego on The Walking Dead, not caring about his surroundings and simply doing whatever it takes to survive.

There was also a comical point in the video where Norman Reedus ran into another intern in the office, making the man spill hot coffee all over himself and Norman just kept on riding.

In a reality TV show style of interview after the incident, the other intern said “Norman’s a d**k. I can’t feel my nipples.”

The video really just played out through a lot of comical angles, which The Walking Dead actor got to show his funny side on many occasions.

But the downside to seeing him in all of these media events is that could mean that Norman Reedus, or Daryl Dixon, could be getting killed off on the show. Fans of The Walking Dead already love Reedus so much on the show that producers could be using these little staged events to spread even more love for the character. That would make it so that when The Walking Dead returns on AMC this October, the reaction to Dixon’s death could be compounded by all of these sweet sentiments that fans will be getting from the actor all summer long.
