Kim Richards Relapse Rumors Swirl, Will She Be Booted From ‘RHOBH’ For Good?

Kim Richards appeared to clean up her act at the end of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6, but has the reality star once again fallen off the wagon?

According to a new report, rumors are swirling regarding the possibility of Kim Richards having relapsed during production on Lifetime’s The Mother/Daughter Experiment, in which she appeared alongside her daughter, Kimberly Jackson, to address the issues within their relationship.

“Reports are saying that it was possibly the stress of another reality show that caused Kim to relapse which means there is a chance she will not be returning to [The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills],” All About the Real Housewives explained to readers on June 8.

After production wrapped on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 in early 2015, Kim Richards was arrested at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills, California after refusing to leave the venue after becoming intoxicated.

During an interview with Dr. Phil McGraw, Jackson claimed her mother’s April 2015 arrest was the result of stress from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 Reunion, which reportedly triggered her to drink.

Weeks after her arrest, Kim Richards entered a treatment facility, but because her daughter Brooke Brinson was getting married just a short time later, she ultimately left rehab and traveled to Mexico to celebrate.

Once Kim Richards returned to Los Angeles, she was believed to have re-entered rehab but in August 2015, she was arrested for the second time after she reportedly stole over $600 worth of items from a Target store in Van Nuys, California.

According to All About the Real Housewives, Bravo seemed adamant that in order for Kim Richards to return to the show in any capacity, she had to be sober. If Kim Richards has relapsed, which has not yet been confirmed, her role on the show could certainly be in jeopardy.

In regard to rumors of a possible relapse, Kim Richards has stayed completely silent. However, she’s been very active on social media in recent weeks. Although she seemed to step away from Twitter and Instagram in the months that followed her 2015 arrests, Kim Richards has returned in full force and in recent months, she’s spoken about her son Chad’s birthday and the impending birth of her first grandchild.

“I love [love] this so much… My son-in-law @thayerwiederhorn celebrating his birthday last night, LOVING My Girl @brookewiederhorn & Their Baby Boy,” Kim Richards wrote on Instagram on June 6.

“A mothers joy begins when new life is moving around inside… and those playful kicks that remind her she’s never alone… NANA waits for those moments too,” she wrote last month.

Also on social media recently, Kim Richards has been spending tons of time with her sister, Kyle Richards.

In recent years, Kim Richards and her younger sister have had a strained relationship, much of which has played out on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. However, during Season 6, the women appeared to make amends, and ever since, they have been frequently seen together.

Kyle also appeared to be a part of Chad’s birthday celebration, which took place in Los Angeles last month.

Kim Richards was one of the original housewives when The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills began and remained on the show in a full-time role until her 2015 arrests, at which point she was reduced to a guest-starring role.
