Xbox One, 360 Deals: Games With Gold Include ‘Destiny,’ ‘Diablo III,’ More

The Xbox One and 360 deals for the week of June ending on the 13th have been revealed. Some are Games with Gold only, meaning you’ll need to be a subscriber with full access to Microsoft’s online service. For those of you who aren’t about to pay for multiplayer or the occasionally deeper discount, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb has you covered as well.

These will eventually all be Xbox One deals, with the backwards compatibility list growing regularly so you can play all of your Xbox 360 favorites on the current console. Sony can’t say that, as the PlayStation 4’s hardware is incompatible natively with PS3 or older games, though they are working on a fix that will cost you. PS Now lets you stream select PS3 titles, and there always seem to be remasters or ports on the way, including the growing PS2 on PS4 list.

On the Xbox One, deals include several popular titles and a variety of sports games.

GAMES WITH GOLD

  • Destiny: The Taken King is available at 35 to 50 percent off depending on the version you want. The Digital Collector’s and Legendary editions will save you more. If you haven’t gotten in on the big online shooter craze from Bungie, this is a good time to take the leap. Always check the Inquisitr for the latest reports on Xur’s Exotic goods.
  • Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition is 50 percent off. The latest and final entry in the epic battle against the devil and his minions is an online role player with real-time battles centering on magic and powerful artifacts. It’s known for its beautiful displays of outright supernatural violence.
  • EA Sports has four of their most popular franchises on sale at 35 to 75 percent off. UFC 2 is at the lowest discount on the list, arguably the newest one of them all. NBA Live 16 and NHL 16 are both set to give you the deepest discount, while FIFA 16 will go for 60 percent off. The Complete UFC 2 Bundle, an add-on to the newest of them, includes “Iron” Mike Tyson, “Legacy” Mike Tyson, Bas Rutten, Kazushi Sakuraba, and Bruce Lee, and comes at 50 percent off.
  • Madden NFL 16 comes at different discounts depending on which version you get, from 35 to 75 percent off.
  • Rock Band 4 comes with 30 songs and this Xbox One deal will net you the game at a 50 percent discount.

The rest of the Xbox One deals don’t require Games with Gold.

  • FIFA 16 Deluxe and Super Deluxe editions, the Madden and FIFA Bundle, Rocket League, and TRON RUN/r are also discounted for this week.

The Xbox 360 discounts include a critical stinker, one which hasn’t been reviewed, and some hits.

  • Diablo III: Reaper of Souls is $20.
  • EA Sports NHL Legacy Edition is $15.
  • Madden NFL 16 is $15.
  • The Escapists, not to be confused with the website of the same name, is $12.
  • The racing titles are the cheapest, and either the most critically disappointing or they flew under the radar. If you’re curious and want to see for yourself, Fast and Furious Showdown is $5, while Wipeout: Create and Crash is $4.80.

Which of these Xbox One and 360 deals are “destined” for your download?
