Bristol Palin Married? Surprising Photo Surfaces Of Bristol And Her Baby Daddy, Dakota Meyer

Bristol Palin has been spending a lot of time with her ex-fiancé, Dakota Meyer—and not just when he’s on daddy duty for their 5-month-old daughter, Sailor Grace. Palin and Meyer have posted several chummy photos together on social media, and the latest one has people wondering if the two reconciled and secretly got hitched!

Entertainment Tonight noted that Meyer’s most recent pic of himself and Bristol has them looking cozy in a tropical location. Palin clearly has a diamond sparkler on her left ring finger, and it looks like there could be an extra band. Even more telling is Dakota’s caption to the pic, which hints that bad decisions can be reversed.

“On one hand, we know that everything happens for a reason, and there are no mistakes or coincidences,” Bristol’s ex wrote. “On the other hand, we learn that we can never give up, knowing that with the right tools and energy, we can reverse any decree or karma. So, which is it? Let the Light decide, or never give up? The answer is: both.”

Bristol and her ex have posted other recent shots that show them hanging out together, including a pic from a halibut fishing trip just days ago that had nothing to do with their cordial co-parenting arrangement. Meyer captioned the photo with the hashtag #Lifecouldntbebetter.

Bristol returned the favor with a photo of her ex, which she captioned “baby daddy bff.”

Bristol Palin’s newfound coziness with her ex comes one year after they canceled their planned May, 2015, wedding just days before it was supposed to take place. While Bristol and Dakota’s relationship was definitely strained for a while over a custody battle, it seems that baby Sailor has now brought these two closer together than ever, thanks to the Kentucky native’s monthly scheduled visitation trips to Alaska. Meyer was granted joint custody of Sailor in March, and now he and Bristol are proudly co-parenting.

Bristol Palin and Dakota Meyer have not yet commented on the buzz surrounding the new photo that appears to have been taken in a tropical location. It certainly doesn’t look like they are in Alaska in the photo, and it’s the latest snap that shows the two of them hanging out without baby Sailor in tow. It wouldn’t be surprising if Bristol and her baby daddy secretly ran off and got married instead of planning a big ceremony like the one they originally planned and never happened.

Last year, Palin addressed the cancellation of her wedding via a post on her Patheos blog, telling followers that her planned wedding in Kentucky was called off and that she and her son, Tripp, were “beginning to rebuild our lives under much different circumstances than we anticipated.”

Bristol gave no reason for the sudden split, and her mom, Sarah Palin, took to Facebook to reveal that while the wedding of Bristol and Dakota would not be held, a family barbecue would still take place in Kentucky that day to “celebrate life in general.”

It was less than two months later that Bristol Palin announced her surprising pregnancy. While some people criticized Bristol, the former abstinence advocate made it clear that the baby had been planned because she thought she was getting married.

Bristol Palin and Dakota Meyer became engaged in early 2015 after the war veteran proposed at a Rascal Flatts concert. Lead singer Gary LeVox introduced Meyer on stage and thanked him for his service before dedicating the song “Bless the Broken Road” to the couple. Midway through the song, LeVox told the crowd that Meyer proposed to Palin backstage.

After such a public proposal—and split— it would make sense that Bristol and her man might do things differently this time.

Update: And they did! Bristol Palin and Dakota Meyer are married. In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, the newlyweds said they are happy to share the news that they tied the knot and are on their honeymoon.

“Life is full of ups and downs but in the end, you’ll end up where you’re supposed to be,” the newlyweds said. “We are so happy to share with loved ones the wonderful news that we got married! Hard work and God’s grace are the foundation of our new life together, and with the love and support of our family we know we can get through anything.”
