Check Out The Sentence That Facebook Won’t Allow You To Post – Go Ahead And Try, It Won’t Work

There are so many fake things on Facebook that it’s sometimes hard to determine what is real and what is not. The privacy hoax comes around at least once or twice a year, and it’s fake. Last year, everyone thought that posting a specific status would have Mark Zuckerberg hand them over millions of dollars, but that was fake. While there are a lot of fake things on the Internet, Facebook will not let post a specific sentence, and that is an absolute reality.

For some reason which is unknown at this time, there is a sentence that can’t be posted on Facebook. It’s an overly simple statement and here it is.

“This cannot be fake.”

It has nothing to do with racism. There is no hate speech involved. It’s not loaded with profanity or filled with anger and rage.

That one simple statement can’t be posted on a Facebook as a status update, comment on a status, comment on a picture, or anything for that matter. As Value Walk reported, it just can’t be done as Facebook simply won’t allow you to do it.

That phrase can’t be typed on Facebook, and it doesn’t matter if you use punctuation or quotes or capitalization. Using the contraction “can’t” instead of “cannot” will allow the sentence to be posted, but not in that one particular form. Try and do it, and you’ll get a pop-up that tells you the action has been blocked.

Now, it can be typed out if part of a paragraph or as its own sentence if you have already typed out something before it. Trying to type “this cannot be fake” all on its own and post it or comment it on Facebook will not work.

“Our security systems have detected that a lot of people are posting the same content, which could mean that it’s spam. Please try a different post.”

“If you think you’re seeing this by mistake, please let us know.”

As you can see, Facebook tells you that far too many people are trying to post the exact same statement and they consider it spam. Now, that may currently be the case as this little tidbit of information is starting to go viral, but has it always been that way?

Social media is starting to lose its collective mind over this whole phenomenon, and challenges are starting to be thrown out.

Others just don’t understand everything and are caught in a sense of bewilderment.

Everyone is trying to figure out what Facebook has against this particular statement, and now there are those wondering if any other specific sentences are blocked.

Maybe it’s just a glitch and it’s so inconsequential that Facebook simply hasn’t bothered to take the time to fix it. There are other ways to express the same sentiment without writing those specific words in that particular order.

Could it be that Facebook’s SPAM filter has gone mad? Perhaps someone should put the intricate details of Facebook’s programming under a microscope to see what it has against “this cannot be fake.”

UPDATE – 7:45 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, June 7: Facebook may have done something to already fix this glitch as now, many are able to actually type the comment out. Others are claiming that they are still getting the error.

Maybe Mark Zuckerberg has started a secret new contest to give away millions if someone can figure out how to write that statement on Facebook. He hasn’t, but someone has likely wondered that very same thing already.

So, maybe it’s a glitch and maybe it is something deep in the core of Facebook’s history that simply doesn’t like the statement “this cannot be fake.” It’s not one of the many hoaxes that come and go with the viral nature of the Internet, but it is one of the stranger things to try to understand. There are so many things that can be done on the social media giant, but don’t try to let others know that something is real as you won’t be able to do it.
