Bethenny Frankel Says It Was ‘Game On’ With LuAnn, Plus Jules Wainstein Spills On What Really Happened In The Berkshires

Bethenny Frankel opened up about the drama that went down on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of New York.

While fans watched Frankel unleash her fury on LuAnn de Lesseps in The Berkshires, the Skinnygirl mogul said it was “game on” from the start.

According to Star Pulse, Frankel didn’t hesitate to pick a fight with de Lesseps, especially after she accused Frankel of copying her hairstyle.

“I walked in and it was game on. I still had my coat on, and I was in the ring. The hair comments were just bizarre. Let’s just say that I copied Luann strand for strand. Now what? Compare our beavers? I was just confused. I mean she has had that hair since the dawn of man. I suppose it took me eight years to muster up the courage to attempt to look like the woman that I admire and respect so much,” Frankel shared.

Frankel admitted that she was frustrated with her fellow co-star. After de Lesseps had refused to come clean about her sex life, Frankel wanted her to tell the truth.

In reply, de Lesseps brought up her part in the Skinnygirl franchise, which only made matters worse.

“Then the Skinnygirl convo. Well, we know how that worked out with John and Sonja, so three was definitely not a charm,” Frankel pointed out. “Luann never lets the truth get in the way of a bad story, and I was just set off. It was like I drank truth serum and just decided to rail into her and honestly tell her exactly what I and everyone else says about her behind her back.”

As fans will recall, de Lesseps insinuated that she was the one who first came up with the name, Skinnygirl. According to the Daily Mail, this sent Bethenny Frankel into a frenzy as she hurled insults at de Lesseps.

“That is the craziest s*** I’ve ever heard,” Frankel told de Lesseps. “That’s really funny, it is like the blind leading the deaf.”

Apart from Frankel’s point of view, Reality Tea is reporting that newcomer Jules Wainstein also chimed in on what went down in the Berkshires.

For the most part, Wainstein criticized her fellow co-stars for turning what could have been a fun getaway into a nasty round of fights.

“I’m not gonna lie, I was really looking forward to a fun and relaxing 24 hours with the girls and celebrating Dorinda’s birthday with a good old-fashioned holiday slumber party,” Wainstein wrote on her Bravo blog. “I was hopeful for a light and fun time in the Berkshires! Well, it was frankly exhausting. I felt like I was refereeing a bunch of over-tired toddlers having a meltdown at a playdate.”

According to Reality Tea, de Lesseps has already fired back at Frankel. Not only did de Lesseps accuse Frankel of “harboring anger,” but she also vehemently denied dating married guys.

At the same time, de Lesseps continued to comment on how similar Frankel’s hair looked to hers and tried her best to clear the air about the Skinnygirl controversy.

“When I’m wrong, I admit it, and I sent Carole a text re-apologizing for things I’ve said in the past. To Bethenny, I sent a text saying I was sorry if I miscommunicated my role in naming her brand,” de Lesseps shared on her Bravo blog. “I was there with her at the time, and that is all I was saying.”

Considering the heated nature of their argument, it doesn’t appear as though Frankel and de Lesseps are going to drop their feud anytime soon.

New episodes of The Real Housewives of New York air Wednesday nights on Bravo.
