Rumors of a feud between Tamar Braxton and her former co-hosts of The Real have been swirling ever since it was announced that Tamar would not be returning for the third season of the daytime talk show, and now it looks like that bad blood is all but confirmed.
According to a new report by OK! Magazine, Braxton appeared to confirm that her relationship with half of her former co-stars, Jeannie Mai and Loni Love, isn’t actually as friendly as it appeared when the group sat alongside each other, with Tamera Mowry-Housley and Adrienne Bailon, on the first two seasons of The Real.
The site is claiming that Tamar made it pretty clear where she currently stands with both Loni and Jeannie on June 5 after she failed to invite her two former co-hosts to the birthday party of her son, Logan, despite extending invitations to both Tamera and Adrienne.
Bailon took to social media to confirm her attendance at the bash, posting a snap of Logan’s birthday invitations on Instagram and even describing Tamar and her family as “familia.”
“Happy Birthday Logan,” Adrienne captioned the photo. “Titi A Loves you! @tamarbraxton always an epic fiesta! Love you to the moon & back! #HappyBirthdayLogan #Familia #PeppaPig.”
However, OK! is claiming that Loni and Jeannie were not invited to the event, heating up rumors of drama that suggested Braxton now has a frosty relationship with her former co-hosts ever since the show announced that Tamar would not be continuing on with the series last month.
The drama reports then reached fever pitch after Tamar opted to unfollow both Jeannie and Loni on Twitter.
Notably, both Loni and Jeannie still follow Braxton on the social media site, though Love appeared to allude to drama when confirming Tamar’s departure from the show in an Instagram post on May 24, where she told Braxton to “take the time [she] needs.”
You shine bright.. Keep shining.. You have been my twinkle toes, my head chef, crazy friend that makes me smile. You know I love you and your family. Your faith has made me strong, your jokes make me laugh and I know that you will continue to soar as you always do. Know that no matter what I only want and wish you the best. I am here, nothing has changed. Take the time you need but know as I have always been, I am here.
“You shine bright.. Keep shining.. You have been my twinkle toes, my head chef, crazy friend that makes me smile,” Loni captioned a snap of herself and Tamar on the photo sharing site on May 24, marking the first time she publicly spoke out regarding Braxton’s departure.
“You know I love you and your family. Your faith has made me strong, your jokes make me laugh and I know that you will continue to soar as you always do,” Loni continued to Braxton. “Know that no matter what I only want and wish you the best. I am here, nothing has changed. Take the time you need but know as I have always been, I am here.”
Tamar Braxton leaving the daytime series was also acknowledged by Jeannie on the social media site last month, though Mai didn’t allude to any bad blood. Instead, she described Braxton’s departure as being “hard.”
“There ain’t nobody out there like Tamar Braxton. Every time she walks into a room you know something UNFORGETTABLE is about to happen,” Jeannie captioned a photo of herself and Braxton on May 24.
“Entertainer, female empowerer, confidant and friend… Tay u taught me to NEVER let ANYONE or ANYTHING dull your shine,” Mai continued. “Man…. this whole damn thing. Is. HARD. I love you Tay.”
But while the former Real co-hosts have stayed mum regarding swirling feud rumors, Braxton appeared to allude to drama on Instagram after she both liked and commented on a fan’s post that referred to her former co-stars as “phony b******.”
Social media user @unrulybadgyal uploaded a snap of Tamar appearing to lean away from her former co-hosts as they took a selfie alongside the caption, “when you in a room full of phony b******, it’s best to distance yourself.”
Tamar Braxton then liked the photo and commented on the upload, writing “Pretty much” alongside the nail painting emoji.
But while fans speculated that Braxton was throwing some serious shade with her social media comment, Tamar later backtracked on her remarks and claimed that she was only joking with her Instagram activity.
“Happy. Positive. And not an ill will toward ANYONE or ANYTHING,” Tamar captioned a photo of herself uploaded on June 1, just days after she made the remarks about her former The Real co-hosts. “I may joke or shade (and that’s just jokes) but know in order for him to use me my HEART is pure and FULL of LOVE!”
Do you think there’s drama between Tamar Braxton and Loni Love and Jeannie Mai in the wake of her departure from The Real?
