‘His Double Life’ On Lifetime: Is This Inspired By A True Story?

It is time for another new Lifetime movie, and this one might creep you out a bit considering that it is inspired by true events. His Double Life is the kind of movie that you will watch and think “no way could that be real,” but His Double Life is actually inspired by true events. Bustle shared the details about His Double Life, and how so far Lifetime isn’t revealing what story inspired them to write this one. His Double Life stars Emmanuelle Vaugier as Linda, Brian Krause as Greg, and Cristine Prosperi as Scarlett. Cristine plays the stepdaughter, who is sure her new stepfather, played by Brian Krause, is a killer.

Here is how Lifetime explains the movie His Double Life on their page.

“Inspired by true events. Five years after her husband was killed in a tragic car accident, Linda starts to rebuild her life and gets re-married, to her late husband’s business partner Greg. When her daughter Scarlett returns home from college, she notices her new stepfather is behaving oddly and suspects that he might be having an affair. She follows him and seems to confirm her suspicions when he meets up with another woman. Things get scarier, though, when a day later on the news, the same mysterious other woman is reported dead. Scarlett starts to wonder… who is this man living in their home?”

This movie is about something that has really happened, but His Double Life is not based on a huge story that made headlines. In this movie, the stepdaughter is certain that her new stepfather is the one who killed her dad years ago. Her dad actually died in a car accident. After a lot of research, it is hard to find the exact true story His Double Life is inspired by.

The trailer for His Double Life was shared on YouTube, and it calls the movie Betrayed. Obviously, Lifetime decided to change the name for some reason. This trailer reveals what you can expect to see on His Double Life. After her husband’s death, Linda moves her daughter and herself to a new home. Their family is there to surprise them along with the new husband, Greg. Her mom explains that she is now happy, but the daughter just doesn’t like him.

On His Double Life, a woman was found dead, which of course gives the daughter reason for alarm and she rushes out to try to find out what happened. She will do everything she can to prove that Greg is not the good man her mother believes him to be. And previews do show that this man is not who the mother thinks he is at the start of His Double Life. This movie will end like a typical Lifetime movie with someone tied up, shots being fired and more than likely someone dying by the time that it is all over.

There are a lot of people out there who live a double life, such as Ozzy Osbourne recently as reported by Page Six. Ozzy was allegedly cheating on his wife Sharon, and nobody even knew about it. His Double Life depicts a very different case, and everyone wants to know what the true story is about. But, Lifetime just isn’t revealing the case for some reason. You know once the movie is over, everyone will be trying to figure it out.
