Nick Jonas Gets Awkward With Girls, Sings About Bacon After Breakup With Olivia Culpo

Nick Jonas has been out of his relationship with Olivia Culpo for a couple of months, but that doesn’t mean that he has shed all the awkwardness of being newly single. With the release of his new album, Last Year Was Complicated, the singer showed himself as the awkward guy that sings about bacon. Yes, bacon.

“Nick Jonas would like you to know that he’s living his best life as a very single bachelor—it is drafting season, after all—by consuming bacon,” reports Time. “Lots and lots of bacon. At least, that’s the message we’re picking up on the latest single from his upcoming album, Last Year Was Complicated.”

The word on the street is that there is a song where he speaks to the fact that he can cook and eat bacon anytime, whenever he wants to, as he is a free man that has to pay attention to nobody else’s needs.

If bacon isn’t a sign of liberated man, we don’t know what is.

And these songs on his new album are definitely something that came out of his breakup with his ex-girlfriend Olivia Culpo.

“There’s no better release for me than creating,” he said according to Just Jared. “I just had to do it, I had that instinct. The minute she left, I was alone in my apartment. I was like, ‘I have to come and get out of the city and write.'”

The fact that Nick Jonas is working so hard on his musical career may come out of the fact that he regrets his years playing music with his brothers.

“The 23-year-old shared he has a lot of regrets when it comes to the beginning of his career and being in a boy band with his brothers,” reports Fox News.

“It does suck that my 13 to 20-year-old years come with a lot of regret, almost, in a way,” Nick said. “There were probably some family issues that needed to be sorted out,” he revealed. “At some point, I need to be able to look at it with a positive angle.”

Either way, the fact that he is still hustling and trying his best to produce the kind of music he wants is a sign that he is driven. Even though the songs are about bacon.

But Nick Jonas still has a ways to go to be the kind of man that ladies fall head over heels for. He still has the awkwardness of a guy that just emerged from the breakup — to say that he isn’t very smooth with the ladies.

The young singer recounted the time that he ran into Emilia Clark of Game of Thrones fame and revealed himself to be a total klutz.

“It wasn’t like ‘I’m a fan of your show.’ Actually, that was a part of it, but I was like, ‘I’m also a fan of your Instagram,’ which I don’t know if that’s a weird thing to say,” Jonas said of their first meeting. “That was maybe after one or two cocktails that I said that. I was highly embarrassed.”

But it looks like there is at least one lady on this earth that isn’t so off put by his bumbling attitude. Kate Hudson has been the biggest lady in his life, though they have tried very hard to keep whatever they are doing on the down low.

“Kate Hudson and Nick Jonas just can’t seem to keep away from each other,” reported People Magazine in early May. “The rumored lovebirds were spotted having a lengthy dinner on Sunday at Carbone in New York City, reigniting dating speculation.”
