‘Fuller House’ Season 2 Spoilers: Another ‘DWTS’ Cameo And An ‘80s Star Turns Up At The Tanners

Fuller House fans are ready for the second season of the Netflix hit to debut, and now the cast members of the Full House reboot are dishing on what to expect. According to Glamour, the second batch of Fuller House episodes could be released before the end of 2016, and there’s already news on new cast members and guest stars.

Glamour reports that Juan Pablo di Pace (Kimmy Gibbler’s ex-husband, Fernando), Ashley Liao (Kimmy’s daughter Ramona’s best friend, Lola), Scott Weinger (DJ’s high school sweetheart, Steve Hale), and John Brotherton (D.J’s veterinarian co-worker, Matt Harmon) have all signed on as series regulars. Is that a clue that D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure) and Steve will reheat their romance, or is this a clear clue that there will be a love triangle with the vet?

TV Line revealed that D.J.’s dating life may not be limited to Steve and Matt. In fact, D.J. will make a love connection with another guy, but he turns out to be gay. In addition, Steve will begin dating a D.J. lookalike named C.J. Oh, Mylanta!

Jodie Sweetin previously said that her character, Stephanie Tanner, will finally get a boyfriend. Sweetin told Entertainment Tonight that longtime Full House fans will have some fun with her character’s romance.

“Who it is, is a really fun surprise,” Sweetin said of her Fuller House beau. “So I think fans are going to enjoy that. The audience [at the taping] seemed to really love it. There could be a connection to [someone from] Full House.”

While the boyfriend is a done deal, Sweetin isn’t sure if her character’s infertility storyline will be addressed in Season 2.

“Stephanie has a love interest this season,” Sweetin told Glamour. “I think the fans are really going to love it…There’s still a few scripts I haven’t seen, so I’m not sure if we’re going to [address Stephanie’s infertility], but we might. We talked about [the fact] that now that we’ve talked about it [on the show], we can’t just leave it and never address it again. It might be something either this season or hopefully if there’s more seasons that will [allow it] to get brought up again.”

One thing that will be addressed is Steph’s music career, so expect to see Sweetin doing some singing — and dancing. Sweetin revealed to Glamour that she’ll be doing “some crazy Irish dancing—like river dance” next season, and producer Jeff Franklin teased that after last season’s cameo by Maksim and Val Chmerkovskiy, another Dancing with the Stars alum will turn up for Season 2. No word yet on who that will be, but Sweetin’s DWTS partner, Keo Motsepe, was recently spotted at the taping of Fuller House.

Another interesting Fuller House guest star is Alan Thicke, who famously played the father of Candace Cameron Bure’s real-life brother, Kirk, on the 1980s sitcom Growing Pains.

Thicke’s Fuller House role hasn’t been revealed yet, but clearly this show likes to keep things all in the family.

In addition to the guest stars, Dave Coulier (Joey on the show) will make his debut at directing a Fuller House episode. Coulier also said fans may get to meet his character’s wife and kids.

“I hope we get to meet [Joey’s] family,” Coulier told Glamour. “My wife and my children [who apparently reside in Las Vegas, per season one]. I talked to Jeff Franklin about it, so I’m in good hands…I was hoping…why not have Joey marry a showgirl, Elizabeth Berkley! Wouldn’t that be great? So I’ve been putting that out there.”

As for everyone’s favorite uncle, John Stamos told E! Online he will act in three Fuller House episodes and will produce the entire season.
