Zendaya, 19, Covers ‘Cosmopolitan,’ Talks About Hook-Ups

Zendaya is all grown up and she wants everyone to know. The 19-year-old graces the cover of the July 2016 issue for Cosmopolitan magazine.

On the cover, the beautiful actress and singer is seen wearing just a bright red blazer with matching lace-up shoes. Inside the publication, Zendaya poses in a variety of sexy summer dresses. She also opens up on her feelings about casual hook-ups. Though she personally wouldn’t hook up with someone, she says that it’s fine to have a casual hook-up every so often, just as long as you do it safely.

“I would much rather be in love and have the full experience with the person I’m doing that with. Everyone deserves to be in love – it’s different from when you’re with someone you don’t really know. [But] as long as you protect yourself and get tested periodically, then by all means, go ahead and do what you’ve got to do!”

Zendaya was previously linked to NFL star Odell after the two were spotted heading to a Grammys after-party with her father, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman. Her father was heard telling TMZ that was he was chaperoning the couple and that the athlete was only “auditioning” to date her.

Though it’s clear that the former child star is growing up, she is not exactly in a rush to do so. The double threat revealed that she still works on the Disney Channel. Zendaya revealed why she returned to the company.

“The only way I was going to come back to the Disney Channel was if I was in a position of more power. One thing that is really important to me is diversity on the channel. It’s hard as a young person of a different ethnicity or background to look at the TV and not see anyone who looks like you. Representation is very important.”

Not only is Zendaya the star of K.C. Undercover, but she’s also the co-producer of the show. Just because she’s still tied to Disney doesn’t mean she’s free from controversy. Zendaya has caused her share of controversy on Instagram in recent photos. On Tuesday, May 31, the singer took to Instagram to post a sizzling black-and-white bikini photo.

In the mirror selfie, Zendaya appears to be wearing a leopard print string bikini. She appeared to be wearing no makeup while rocking messy bed hair. “Color comin’ back,” she wrote on the photo.

But not everyone was crazy about Zendaya’s bikini photo.

“Zendaya you are truly beautiful but you should not be pasting pictures like this I have always thought good of you bc you were beautiful and a singer and actor and you never showed off your body like this,” one user wrote.

But there are some who are supporting the Disney star. Some applauded Zendaya for showing off her beautiful body, while others claimed that bikini pics are no big deal.

“She’s wearing a swimsuit it’s not a crime. Calm down,” a fan added.

The “Replay” singer caused controversy among her fans once again when she posted a controversial photo on Instagram. This time around, Zendaya was seen gracing the cover of Wonderland magazine, posing in an infantile dress. Her left hand is touching her breast as her right hand is placed in between in her legs. Some fans were shocked at the photo, insinuating that it simulated masturbation.

Some remarked that Zendaya looked like an underage girl who was pleasuring herself in her bedroom. The model has since taken to Instagram to address this latest controversy. Zendaya sees where her fans are coming from, but she insists that the photo is innocent.

“I see what y’all saying by the hand placement lmao. But that was not intentional you little pervs,” she wrote underneath the post.

But there’s one thing that Zendaya’s fans can agree on and it’s her incredible photo shoot with Cosmopolitan.
