Taylor Swift’s Best Friend Abigail Anderson Supports Swift Amid Calvin Harris Break-Up

Taylor Swift’s long-time friend Abigail Anderson is taking to social media to spread the love for Taylor following her reported break-up with Calvin Harris, where she appears to be confirming Taylor and Calvin’s split.

Amid reports that Taylor and Calvin had officially broken-up after 15-months of dating, Swift’s close friend, Abigail, took to Instagram to post a sweet photo in support of her close friend, who she first met over 10 years ago.

Abigail’s social media photo featured a white card with a hand painted pink heart, which fans are speculating may have been drawn by Anderson for Swift, which also featured the words, “my weird heart loves your weird heart.”

Abigail then captioned the shot with a sweet message for her long-time friend, telling Swift, “There are few things more significant or valuable than a friendship that will withstand the test of time. Thank you for getting me. Always.”

Confirming that her message was aimed at Taylor, Anderson then tagged Swift in her heartfelt Instagram post.

Abigail didn’t explicitly reference Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift’s break-up in her social media post, though a slew of fans assumed Anderson’s sweet message for Taylor was her way of supporting Swift following her recent split.

A number of Swift’s fans commented on the post asking Abigail to “take care” of Taylor amid her heartbreak, with several posting heartfelt messages for Swift’s best friend to pass along to the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer.

“Dear Abigail… Please take care of my Queen so much… So much. & please tell her we all love & support her unconditionally & we believe that she deserves all the best so there’s no need to worry, cause life will prepare so much better for her!” @taramfr commented on the Instagram photo. “If her heart is broken, Swifties’ hearts will break too! I love her soooooooiooooooooo deep!”

“Please let Tay know that Swifties are here for her! Thank you for always supporting and taking care of her,” social media user @queeeeentay13 wrote on the social media site, while @xtiedtogetherwithasmile wrote alongside the photo, “please give Taylor a hug from all of us.”

But while some Taylor Swift fans sent messages to the star via Abigail’s social media, others thanked Swift’s long-time friend for standing by her side.

“Aw thank you so so much for being with Taylor since the start, thank you for supporting Taylor in everything,” @feigh_sweeran13 wrote and @maddisoncoons commented on the snap, “Same. Love you @taylorswift. Thanks for being an amazing friend to her @abigail_lauren you da best.”

Taylor and Abigail have been close friends for years, with Swift even immortalizing her friendship with Anderson in her 2008 single, “Fifteen,” which recalled their first meeting and their shared heartbreak.

Swift also spoke out about her and Abigail’s longstanding friendship in a past interview with Oprah Winfrey, where she confirmed that she and Anderson first met at school when they were both just 15-years-old.

Referring to Abigail as her “best friend” in the Oprah interview, Taylor recalled the first day the two met.

“First day of school freshman year we sat next to each other in English,” Swift revealed. “She wanted to be a swimmer and go off on a college scholarship for swimming and I wanted to be a singer. Now she’s off at Kansas on a swimming scholarship and I’m singing.”

According to the Daily Mail, Taylor and Abigail have remained close ever since, with Taylor even throwing Abigail a huge party to celebrate her turning 25-years-old last year, just months after Abigail attended the 2015 Grammy Awards as Swift’s date.
