Cynthia Bailey Split: Peter Thomas Says ‘Best Day Ever’ As Cynthia Announces Split

Cynthia Bailey has been confused about her marriage for a couple of months now, as she was shocked to learn that her husband had been caught up in an Instagram video scandal last year. Peter Thomas claimed he was completely innocent, but the video had people talking. Why was Peter grabbing that lady and why did it look like he was about to make out with her? Cynthia was hurt and confused, and she started questioning his loyalty to her.

According to a new Bravo report, Cynthia Bailey is now revealing that she has decided to separate from her husband. On The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Bailey revealed that Peter had been spending most of his time in Charlotte, North Carolina — far away from their home in Atlanta, Georgia. And it sounds like things haven’t changed at all.

“Peter and I are separated. He lives in Charlotte, and I live in Atlanta,” Cynthia told the Daily Dish.

As it turns out, Cynthia Bailey needs time to think about what she really wants in her marriage, and that includes whether Peter is the man she wants to stay married to. These days, Thomas continues to work in other towns than Atlanta, and Bailey is launching a new line of products: travel luggage. And in the middle of the work, she’s also thinking about whether she should stay married or file for divorce.

“I am definitely taking some time to myself to figure out how I want to move forward. I don’t want to rush into anything, so I think this time apart is good for us,” Cynthia told the Daily Dish when asked about her marriage, adding, “And I think the space apart, I think he can appreciate it as well. I think it gives people time to think and process and just move forward in a way that really is healthy for everyone involved.”

Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas have almost been married for six years. The two have shared their ups and downs on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, including troubles on their wedding day as Cynthia’s family wanted to stop the nuptials. Plus, the two have tried to hit the reset button on their marriage a few times, but it sounds like they keep going into the same hole where they can’t get out. Apparently, this separation is amicable — at least for Cynthia.

“Jamaica was fun. We had a good time together. Just because we are having issues don’t mean we can’t have a good time together,” Cynthia Bailey had previously revealed to the Daily Dish about her marriage, adding, “So Jamaica was good, but it didn’t change issues that we were still dealing with.”

Peter has stayed somewhat silent on this matter, but he did share a post on Instagram on the day Cynthia’s separation news hit the internet. He was in South Beach, hanging out with his children. And he called it the “best day ever.” But just because Thomas and Bailey don’t spend time together as a married couple doesn’t mean they can’t be friends. Cynthia Bailey believes that they can easily move forward in a peaceful manner.

“Regardless of where I am with Peter, he is my husband. I will always love him, and I will always support him. And I believe he feels the same about me,” Cynthia recently told the Daily Dish, adding, “Whether or not we decide to stay married or not, that’s something that we have to decide soon. But right now, I’m enjoying the time apart, taking time for myself.”
