WWE News: Another Injured Star Returning Next Week

The past two weeks have seen the return of two injured stars to the ring, with Seth Rollins coming back at Extreme Rules to attack Roman Reigns and John Cena coming back on WWE Monday Night Raw to start a feud with AJ Styles. Now, 411mania has reported that Bray Wyatt is returning from injury to hit the road with the WWE as well.

At the moment, the news is just that Bray Wyatt is returning to the road with the company, and it is unclear if the return will be straight to television. There is the problem that WWE creative will have to find something for Bray to do upon his return, since the feud he was last in is impossible to rekindle.

Before the Bray Wyatt injury, The Wyatt Family was starting a feud with the League of Nations, as the two factions prepared to go head to head. It looked like a face turn for The Wyatt Family.

Before that feud started, Luke Harper fell to an injury, and the League of Nations kicked out Wade Barrett. After that, Bray went down as well with a calf injury on the European tour. Since the Bray Wyatt injury, the League of Nations has broken up, with Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, and Rusev all going their separate ways.

That leaves nothing for The Wyatt Family, especially in the context of a face turn, as was expected with the League of Nations feud. Of course, when someone returns from injury, they almost always get a face pop, and people have always been drawn to Bray Wyatt.

There is also the fact that Bray Wyatt started hyping his own return last week on Twitter. It came around the same time that The Inquisitr reported that the WWE hinted a “hatching” was coming, which was disappointingly just promotion for the new WWE video game.

However, the Bray Wyatt injury return looks like it might involve a new member to the Wyatt Family as he said he makes warriors of the unwanted. With Luke Harper out for an extended period with a serious leg injury, and with Braun Strowman not yet ready for the prime time, a new member could be a nice breath of fresh air. He also mentioned “Abby,” meaning Sister Abigail, making some wonder if a new female member will join the stable.

With The League of Nations disbanded and The Inquisitr recently reporting that The Club has entered a feud with John Cena, that leaves The Social Outcasts as the only remaining stable, and that is not a feud worthy of Bray Wyatt and his Wyatt Family.

That means that the Bray Wyatt injury return might be put on hold while the WWE comes up with their next feud idea for The Wyatt Family. Also, with just over a month to go before the brand split, that feud needs to be one that can be wrapped up relatively quick.

It is also interesting to think about what the WWE brand split will mean to Bray Wyatt. As they referenced on WWE Monday Night Raw with The New Day, teams could be split up in the brand split. This happened the last time that split the brands with the Dudley Boyz getting split up. If they send Bray Wyatt to SmackDown and keep his family on Raw, that could really change the dynamic for the worse, as the last time they split up the Wyatt Family, no one was helped.

Whatever they have in mind for the Bray Wyatt injury return, it will have to happen soon. Bray will hit the road with the WWE again next week, and then there are less than three weeks until the Money in the Bank event. After that, the WWE brand split will take place the week before the Battleground event in July.

The WWE has struggled to keep Bray on top despite his overwhelming overness with the fans. Wyatt’s face turn looked like it would finally put him over the top, but Bray’s injury halted that. Now, the Bray Wyatt injury return gives the WWE another chance, but fans will have to wait and see if the Eater of Worlds finally gets the recognition he deserves.
