Ryan Seacrest Sells Hollywood Mansion Before Upgrading to Ellen DeGeneres’ Mansion [Video]


The Ryan Seacrest mansion sale garnered the American Idol celebrity $11 million. After purchasing Ellen DeGeneres’ mansion (formerly owned by Brad Pitt), Ryan Seacrest closed on his approximately 8,000-square-foot home. The Hollywood mansion includes a detached nightclub. Kevin Costner sold the lavish mansion to Ryan Seacrest for $11.5 million in 2006, according to TMZ. Richard Dreyfuss owned the mansion before selling to to Kevin Costner. The name of the new Seacrest mansion owners has not yet been released, but TMZ refers to the buyers as “some rich English folk.”

Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest, 37, are currently settling in to the $37.5 million mega-mansion purchased from Ellen DeGeneres. Kurt Rappaport represented both Ryan Seacrest and Ellen DeGeneres in the sale of their mansions and reportedly gathered a sizeable fee for the arranging the sale of $50 million worth of Hollywood property.

The American Idol host first listed his Hollywood Hills mansion in 2010 but could not find a buyer, Celebuzz notes. Seacrest’s mansion was listed at $14.95 million two years ago. The Ryan Seacrest mansion was built in 1974 in a Mediterranean villa style. The Hollywood Hills mansion includes a guesthouse, cabana, six bedrooms, six and a half baths, an extensive wine cellar, gym, tennis court, swimming pool, and a screening room.

Ryan Seacrest’s mansion boasts both city and canyon views and plenty of privacy behind a wrought iron fence. The mansion recently sold by Ryan Seacrest set on approximately one acre of land. The Hollywood mansion reportedly underwent a massive renovation after Ryan Seacrest purchased the home from Kevin Costner and his wife, Christine Baumgartner.
