Gwen Stefani Turning To Blake Shelton Amid ‘Horrifying’ 2016 Tour Ticket Sales

According to reports, despite her best efforts, tickets for Gwen Stefani’s upcoming 2016 This Is What the Truth Feels Like Tour are not selling well, and Gwen is allegedly turning to boyfriend Blake Shelton for a little help.

A new report by In Touch Weekly is claiming that Gwen’s upcoming tour, which is scheduled to kick off in July, still has thousands of empty seats across the currently scheduled 28 stops around North America, despite Stefani’s big promotional efforts and deals with discount sites.

“Gwen’s tour kicks off July 12 in Massachusetts and only 5,000 tickets have been sold in a venue that holds 18,000,” an insider claimed to the site of Stefani’s less than stellar sales, “and that was after the huge promotion in which her tickets were being sold discounted on Groupon.”

“In the ’90s, when she was with No Doubt, she’d sell out stadiums all the time,” the source added of Stefani’s past successes.

The site is also claiming that Stefani is doing all she can to try to rescue her upcoming tour, and that includes turning to Blake Shelton for help.

An insider admitted to the site that Gwen “is so freaked out about the lackluster sales” that she’s looking to Blake in the hopes that Shelton will use his huge following on social media to spread the word about her shows while also teasing a possible appearance for at least one of Stefani’s upcoming stops.

“Gwen’s planning on asking him to post ticket sales information on his social media platforms in hopes that it will generate some buzz,” In Touch Weekly revealed, admitting that “Blake is doing everything he can to save her show.”

“Blake is even going to show up at a few of her gigs and perform with her,” a source close to Stefani and Shelton continued, noting that Blake is hoping that his fans and The Voice viewers may be more inclined to buy a ticket to Stefani’s show if they believe they might catch a glimpse of himself and Gwen together.

“It makes him sad that she isn’t selling tickets when she has worked so hard on this tour,” the source added of Shelton.

The Gwen Stefani source also revealed in the report that the poor reception for Stefani’s new tour, her first since she hit the road for The Sweet Escape Tour in 2007, have come as “a blow” to the The Voice coach, as Gwen had reportedly “hoped that appearing as a coach on The Voice and cozying up to [Blake Shelton] would help her appeal to a much younger audience.”

But this is just the latest report regarding Stefani’s 2016 tour that claims ticket sales aren’t as high as Gwen would want them to be.

The New York Post also confirmed earlier this month that Stefani’s This Is What The Truth Feels Like Tour is not exactly selling as well as she’d likely hoped, despite the intense media attention surrounding her romance with Shelton.

According to an insider who spoke to The New York Post regarding Gwen’s ticket sales last month, the ticket numbers for Stefani’s 2016 tour are so low that they’re allegedly “horrifying.”

A source recently told the site that Gwen’s July 21 stop at Jones Beach, New York, and two of her Los Angeles tour dates this coming October are currently the only concerts to boast steady sales, while Stefani’s other 26 shows around the U.S. and Canada unfortunately “haven’t gained traction with ticket buyers.”

The source admitted that fans looking to buy tickets to Gwen’s shows via Ticketmaster will be greeted with “a sea of blue on Ticketmaster’s interactive seat map” showing a slew of unsold seats that are only “interrupted by an occasional red dot signifying a resale seat.”

What do you think of reports that Gwen Stefani’s This Is What The Truth Feels Like Tour is experiencing low sales? Do you think Blake Shelton should give Gwen’s tour a boost?
