Amber Heard Looks Relieved After Meeting With Lawyers
Amber Heard has been spotted in recent days since her split from husband Johnny Depp. The actress has filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences after accusing Depp of domestic abuse.
After a long week, Amber Heard was laughing a little lighter and smiling a little brighter on Saturday, May 28. She was seen leaving a legal meeting with her friend, Raquel Pennington. The ladies were seen laughing and smiling as they were seen leaving the building. Heard was photographed wearing a navy blue sweater paired with boyfriend jeans and black oxford shoes. The 30-year-old’s blonde hair was styled in a top bun as she carried a Mac notebook plus a black and white handbag in her arms.

Depp’s fans have taken to social media to slam the actress for simply smiling and looking happy after what seems to have been a difficult marriage and divorce. They have also labeled her a “gold digger,” since the couple never signed a prenup and Heard is currently seeking spousal support. She seems determined and strong after being granted a temporary restraining order against Johnny Depp. The couple have been married for just 15 months.
Heard filed for divorce early last week. When Heard showed up to the courthouse on Friday, May 27, she appeared to have a bruise on her right cheek, which she claimed in court papers was from a violent altercation she had with the Pirates of the Caribbean star on Saturday, May 21. Heard then filed for divorce two days after their alleged fight.
In her declaration on Friday, the actress stated that she’s “extremely afraid” of Depp, 52, whom she claims has a history of substance abuse problems and allegedly physically assaulted her back in April. In the court documents obtained by E! News, Heard alleges that Depp also “has a short fuse” and that “his temper is exceptionally scary for me as it has proven many times to be physically dangerous and/or life-threatening to me.”

In fact, Heard has “lived in fear” of her husband and has claimed that she has been attacked three times in the past six months. Heard claims that Depp would return to the Los Angeles condo they share to “terrorize [her] physically and emotionally.”
On Heard’s 30th birthday, in April, she claims Depp threw a wine glass at her. Then, a month later on May 21, she alleges that he threw an iPhone at her face, which prompted her to call the police. Authorities told Us Weekly they saw no evidence of domestic violence when they were called to the couple’s home, despite the actress’ claims.
“Johnny then grabbed me by the shoulders and pushed me onto the bed, blocking the bedroom door. He them grabbed me by the hair and violently shoved me to the floor. Johnny was also screaming and threatening me, taunting me to stand up. After several minutes, Johnny stormed out of the condominium, but not before tossing aside and breaking nearly everything in his path. I did not see Johnny again for another month.”
Depp has not responded to Heard’s allegations. He is currently on tour with his band The Vampires. The actor has only released a statement via his rep in response to Heard’s divorce filing on Thursday, May 26.
“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
So far, only Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, and his ex-girlfriend, Vanessa Paradis, have defended the actor, both calling him a “loving” individual. In addition, Depp’s sister, Christi Dembrowski, has also broken her silence amid Heard’s divorce filing. She claims that both his family and late mom, Betty Sue, “hated” Heard and her lesbian friends.
Unnamed sources have also claimed that Heard’s openly-bisexual lifestyle and lesbian friends have caused tension in their marriage, but those rumors haven’t been proven to be true.
