Did Jennifer Lawrence, Friend Of Adele And Amy Schumer, Shade Taylor Swift?

Fans have been wondering if Jennifer Lawrence threw shade at Taylor Swift’s ongoing feud with arch nemesis Katy Perry.

During a press junket for her new film, X Men: Apocalypse, Jennifer Lawrence’s co-star James McAvoy says that his son loves listening to Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. Lawrence chimed in and told him, “You don’t want those two to be in your group together.” She then proceeded to sing Swift’s hit song “Bad Blood,” which is rumored to be about her fallout with Perry.

The clip started circulating on Thursday, May 26, causing some to wonder if J.Law threw shade at T. Swift. Check out their cute interview in the video below.

Does that mean that Jennifer Lawrence threw shade at Taylor Swift? Not necessarily. The actress has praised the pop star before. Last year, Lawrence called Swift a “bada**” for making Apple change their policy on not paying their artists during Apple Music’s three-month trial.

“That letter she wrote about Apple, I texted her and was like, ‘Yous a bad** b****,” Lawrence reportedly told Extra at the 2015 Comic-Con. “She awesome. She’s a lot more well spoken than I am.”

Check out the rest of Lawrence’s praise for Swift in the video below.

It sounds like Jennifer Lawrence is kind of in with Taylor Swift’s squad since the two have conversed via text message before.

The famous starlets’ first known interaction was televised at the 2014 Golden Globes. During a 2014 Grammys red carpet interview with Ryan Seacrest, Swift was shown the footage of her Golden Globes run-in with Jennifer Lawrence, in which Lawrence photo-bombed her interview.

Swift’s reaction to the footage was slight amusement. While she told the reporter that “she’s so funny!” her expression clearly reads different.

In the footage, when Lawrence approached Swift, she joked that she wanted to push the singer down the stairs.

“I was like, ‘She’ll crack up. She would really love that,” she said as she laughed.

Swift didn’t seem as amused. She gave a slight smile as she was quietly heard saying, “that’s so funny.”

While the two blonde beauties communicate via text, it’s clear that they’re not BFFs, nor are they going to be anytime soon. Lawrence is laid-back and goofy, while Swift has a carefully crafted image. Besides, Lawrence is the type of girl who likes to admit when she’s a little drunk or drugged up, while Swift is often tight lipped about how much she drinks whenever she’s out with her friends.

When Lawrence was asked by Ryan Seacrest if she’s ever gone to a Taylor Swift concert, she exclaimed, “She’s never invited me!”

However, Swift claims she has. Lawrence has praised Swift’s music and even sent the pop star “a text message that was like six inches long,” but Swift reportedly said she doesn’t “remember [what it said].” Ouch.

It’s highly possible that Swift and Lawrence have the kind of friendship where they can poke fun at each other’s expense. But that still doesn’t mean that J.Law will make an appearance on Swift’s Instagram anytime soon.

Maybe Jennifer Lawrence should stick to her own famous girl squad. She can’t complain since she’s best friends with both Adele and Amy Schumer. In late November, J.Law was spotted having dinner with both Adele and Emma Stone (who is also in Taylor Swift’s squad) shortly after taping The Tonight Show.

Last year, she was also spotted vacationing with fellow actress and comedian Amy Schumer. Social media exploded when a photo of Schumer jet-skiing with Lawrence quickly circulated. Since then, the two boozy blondes have been seen dancing on stage together at a Billy Joel concert.

Additionally, Lawrence is currently writing and starring in a movie with Schumer, in which the two play sisters. Sounds like Lawrence’s girl squad is the place to be since the Oscar-award-winning actress has her own long list of movies coming out. Meanwhile, Stone’s next film, La La Land, hits theaters everywhere in July.

And Adele just premiered her new music video, “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, where she won eight awards that night. She’s also currently on tour in support of her chart-topping album, 25.
