Turn your humble Nintendo DS into a piano

Fine, you five-starred “Through the Fire and the Flames” in Guitar Hero III. But how about trying to learn an instrument your mother would approve of? Learning the piano is unrealistic for many, simply because of the expense, so here’s a cheaper solution: forthcoming Nintendo DS title Easy Piano.

Namco Bandai will be releasing the game this November in Europe and Australia, but that’s not what caught our eye. For us, it’s all about the “unique 8-note full-octave keyboard peripheral” that ships free with the game, a.k.a. another entry from the Wacky World of DS Add-ons – see also the glucose reader and drums clip-on.

Using this bad boy, you’ll be able to tickle the ivories to the likes of Mozart, Beethoven, Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” The Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony,” and The Police’s “Every Breath You Take” – and probably for a helluva lot less than piano lessons. DSi owners missing a Slot 2 on their handheld need not apply.
