‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6, Episode 6 ‘Blood Of My Blood’ Spoilers: Jaime Lannister Versus The High Sparrow, Arya Stark Makes Her Choice And The Hound Returns?

Game of Thrones has reached the halfway point, and while the storyline has been action-packed throughout Season 6, Episode 6 may prove to be a turning point. Many fans of the HBO series have pointed out that the episode title “Blood Of My Blood” points toward the Dothraki saying, but in the case of this episode, it may have a much farther reach and refer to several of the characters fans have been following as the houses of Westeros battle for power and survival.

Be forewarned, there will be plenty of Game of Thrones spoilers from past Season 6 episodes as well as information about what is coming. Stop reading now if you are not caught up with the HBO series and do not wish to read spoilers.

The HBO synopsis for Game of Thrones Season 6, Episode 6 titled “Blood Of My Blood” reads, “An old foe comes back into the picture. Gilly meets Sam’s family. Arya faces a difficult choice. Jaime faces off against the High Sparrow.”

The sneak peak for the upcoming GOT episode shows the Lannisters getting ready to take on the Sparrows. Tension has been building for weeks between the ruling family and the religious order. With the public walk of shame forced upon Cersei by the High Sparrow and another one coming up for Queen Margaery, the Lannisters are about to take on the Sparrows and remove them altogether.

Jaime Lannister wants revenge on the High Sparrow after he shamed the love of his life, Cersei. Which is still pretty unbelievable that the religious fanatics would go after the mother of the queen, who granted them their power in the first place. As the Sparrows get ready to put Queen Margaery through the same punishment, Jaime pulls up with the Lannister army as well as those loyal to the Tullys, and it looks like the overzealous religious order could be outnumbered.

With battle comes death, and in “Blood Of My Blood,” fans should expect no different. It’s just a matter of who may live and who may die. A popular theory on Reddit as presented by The Bit Bag predicts the death of King Tommen in an upcoming episode. Could it be the next one when the Lannisters take on the religious zealots The Sparrows?

As for Arya Stark, it is believed that she will have to decide whether she still wants to continue on her quest to serve the Many-Faced God. She currently believes that all of her family is dead, including John Snow and Sansa Stark. Once she learns that they are not, will Arya want to continue her training or go back to her family?

Gilly is finally going to meet Sam Tarly’s family but that may be disastrous. Newsweek reveals that the Game of Thrones spoilers concerning Gilly and Sam will take on the literal “Blood Of My Blood” title as Gilly meets Sam’s father Randyll Tarly. Where Sam is gentle and caring, his father is a brute and is the reason that Sam was sent to the Night Watch in the first place. He also isn’t fond of Wildlings, which doesn’t go over well when Gilly shows up and Sam hasn’t warned his father first. It’s pretty safe to say that Randyll Tarly isn’t going to like the idea of his son settling down with such an unfavorable woman but what will he do about it? And what should happen if Arya continues on her mission to become a nameless assassin and gets orders to kill one of her own like Jon Stark?

As for the old foe, there are several Game of Thrones theories floating around about who it may be. There have been rumblings that Benjen Stark will return as the hooded man and help Meera and Bran escape the White Walkers. With the death of Hodor as he holds the door shut while Meera and Bran escaped and Bran’s continued absence is going to both wear on Meera, who is pulling him and make it difficult to defend them. The arrival of Benjen, who hasn’t been seen in many seasons since he assisted Jon, just might mean life over death for Bran as his existence becomes more and more important to the entire story. Not to mention that Benjen isn’t a foe of the Starks, he is one of them.

So who might the foe who returns be? According to iDigital Times, there is a prediction that The Hound might be coming back. Just keep in mind that The Hound was never actually seen dead and in Game of Thrones, if fans don’t actually see the character die then we can believe that they didn’t. Not to mention that some characters who do die can be brought back like John Snow and The Mountain.

With only four episodes left to conclude Season 6 of Game of Thrones, spoilers for the HBO hit indicate that the scene is being set for Jon Snow to take over the North and fulfill the prophecy of the death of Cersei’s children as King Tommen’s reign is cut short. Bran Stark’s role has been proven to be much larger than ever expected before, and the Stark family may have lost their power temporarily but will rule again very soon.
