Russell Brand, Geri Halliwell Reportedly Dating

British comedian Russell Brand and former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell (also known as Ginger Spice) are reportedly seeing each other, according to British tabloids.

Earlier this month, Halliwell alluded to a new man in her life and said that she was a late bloomer in the dating stakes — which is an interesting contrast to woman-eater Brand, who has a reputation for a voracious sexual appetite and some womanizing attributes.

Brand has been more settled in recent years, being linked to Isabella Brewster after his split and divorce from squeaky-clean pop singer Katy Perry, and it’s unclear if he is who Halliwell was hinting at when she said in a recent interview:

“I’m not going into details … Right now there’s nothing serious. I was a late starter on the romantic front. I didn’t start dating until I was in my 30s … I quite like having somebody to cuddle. I like that intimacy, it would be wonderful.”

According to Us Magazine, Brand and Brewster called it quits ahead of the Olympics when he had a slew of work-related matters to which to attend. And, as we know, Halliwell appeared at the ceremonies along with her former girl-group in some of the event-related pageantry.

The mag quotes a source on Brand’s availability:

“Isabella and [Russell] broke it off,” a source tells Us Weekly. “He has been in London since the Olympics and is traveling for standup.”

An unnamed source, who is said to be a “close pal” told the UK Sun that Brand and Halliwell are really hitting it off, saying:

“Things are getting very serious between them — they’re a proper couple now. They had met several times in the past, but really got to know each other during the Olympics … People thought Russell was joking at the time, when he said he had a crush on Geri all over again, but it was true … They just clicked — they have so much in common.”

Other spies report seeing Brand and Halliwell out and about in London, holding hands, and chatting.
