How Much Did Tamar Braxton’s Husband Really Know About Her ‘The Real’ Departure?

According to reports, Tamar Braxton’s husband, Vincent Herbert, knew about The Real‘s plans to let Tamar go for two weeks before the shocking news officially broke.

An insider close to Herbert and Braxton recently spoke out to Page Six about just how much Vincent, who serves as a producer on the daytime talk show, really knew about the decision not to renew Braxton’s contract, admitting that Herbert had “been aware for two weeks that she wasn’t getting picked up.”

Neither Tamar nor Vincent have officially spoken out about just how much Herbert knew about Braxton’s departure from The Real, though another source who spoke to Hollywood Life this week claimed that Tamar doesn’t believe he knew about the decision ahead of time, but added that Vincent did everything he could to save Tamar’s job.

According to the insider, Braxton “doesn’t believe he knew she was about to get fired from that show” but revealed that “even if he did, she believes he was trying to protect her and fight for her to keep her job behind the scenes.”

“He’s been nothing but loving and supportive of Tamar. That’s her ace,” the source added of Braxton and Herbert, who married in 2008 and have one son together named Logan.

The insider also claimed to the site that Vincent’s involvement with The Real only made things tougher for Tamar when she found out that she would not be asked back as a co-host for the series’ upcoming third season.

“Truth is, this is a painful situation already for her,” the source told Hollywood Life of Tamar. “If Vince was the one to first tell her she’s off the show, that in and of itself would have been devastating.”

But it sounds like Braxton is now looking to move on from the recent drama, one week after Tamar confirmed her pretty shocking The Real departure on Instagram. “It is what it is. Tamar’s moving on, because in this town the show must go on,” the site’s insider said.

The latest reports come after Tamar took to Instagram to claim that she had been “stabbed in the back” by someone at The Real, but clarified that the unnamed assailant was not Vincent.

“I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted (not my man or my sisters),” Tamar wrote in a seriously candid Instagram post on May 22. “I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch and it’s not in good taste to tell you who…… but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own,” Braxton told her more than 2 million followers.

Though Tamar is still yet to confirm just who she was referring to in her pretty scathing photo caption, Bossip is claiming that Braxton was actually calling out The Real‘s executive producer, Rachel Miskowiec.

According to the site, Miskowiec allegedly had issues with both Tamar and Vincent behind the scenes of the daytime series and was supposedly the main force behind Braxton losing her position as co-host alongside Adrienne Bailon, Tamara Mowry-Housley, Loni Love and Jeannie Mai.

“She constantly complained behind the scenes about Vincent,” the source claimed to Bossip of Rachel earlier this week, alleging that Herbert “was not ever cooperative with her” on the series.

“[Vincent] was always advocating on behalf of Tamar but when the show needed something from him, he was always uncooperative and unresponsive,” the insider continued, adding that Herbert’s constant support for Braxton “really frustrated the executive producer.”
