The Walking Dead Season 7 premieres on AMC this fall. What can fans expect when TWD returns? New spoilers are available, and besides new filming locations and a new group, two characters seem to be alive and well. Keep reading to get all the details.
Warning: The Walking Dead Season 7 spoilers are ahead!
Ever since the Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead aired on AMC, fans have been anxious to find out who Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) hit with Lucille. That information will likely stay under wraps until the Season 7 premiere. However, there is other information available. For one, expect to see a new group when TWD returns. Those that have read the comic books are aware Ezekiel and his pet tiger, Shiva, are coming. The inclusion of those individuals will likely lead to the introduction of a new group called the Kingdom.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, not much is known about the Kingdom. However, they are another community like the Hilltop Colony. The Kingdom, along with the Hilltop Colony and Alexandria, will work together to defeat Negan and the Saviors. However, many lives will be lost during the battle.
According to the Spoiling Dead Fans, there are a few new filming locations.
“Today was a little bit of a surprise. In addition to filming at Tyler Perry’s Studio, they also filmed at an outside location in Atlanta. It was near some abandoned apartments over on Stanton Rd. & Woodberry Ave.,” TSDF wrote regarding TWD Season 7 filming. “Daniel Newman was spotted along with what looks like Carol. Horses were also seen on set. Yay! Please don’t die, ponies. No word on any Ezekiel sightings. No tiger sightings either, unfortunately.”
As TWD fans recall, Carol was not lined up with the rest of Rick’s group by Negan and the Saviors. This is because she fled Alexandria, but she is still very much a part of the story. Although Carol was going through some psychological and emotional issues last season, we hope she deals with it and returns to the community. Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the others need Carol Peletier right now.
As for Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt), he was lined up with Rick, Carl (Chandler Riggs), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), and the others. Each of them was taunted with Negan’s barbed wire baseball bat, Lucille. Everyone has their theories on who Negan killed, but Eugene keeps coming up. It seems that he might be alive, but this is not confirmed. One fan of The Walking Dead took a filming location photo and cropped it to get a closer look. Along with Carol standing up straight with her knife on the side of her pants, a man resembling Eugene was seen. However, others commented that it could have just been a member of the filming crew.

As for more clues, Norman Reedus, the actor who plays Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead, gave fans a Season 7 premiere teaser. Are viewers going to be happy with how the premiere episode turns out?
“Trust me. I think probably the planet is going to explode,” Reedus told Entertainment Weekly Radio regarding the Season 7 premiere. “That’s my feeling. It’s so good. Every time we go on a promotional tour talking about what’s going to come, we all say ‘Oh my God, it’s amazing. I can’t wait for you to see it.’ But it continually surprises me how this show grows and is put together and the execution of it – no pun intended. It blows my mind. It just continually reaches a new plateau every single time, and this is the highest plateau we’ve ever been. So just wait. It’s worth the wait, trust me.”
Do you think Carol goes back to Rick’s group in Season 7 of The Walking Dead? How will Melissa McBride’s character handle Negan’s actions? Did the photo show Eugene, or was that a crew member?
