Fans can watch the Nigeria vs. Mali football match live online and see which team can steal a win and move up the FIFA rankings.

The teams will meet Friday in an international friendly match, with start time scheduled for 7 p.m. local time (5 p.m. GMT).

Nigeria is looking to build some positive momentum after a series of difficult showings, with only one win in their last five matches. Mali has had a much different stretch, winning four out of their last five. Their only loss was a 3-0 shutout to Congo DR in February.

The Nigerian team has been practicing in France ahead of the match against Mali, the Daily Post noted. The camp included 17 players — Ogenyi Onazi, Brown Ideye, Abdullahi Shehu, Umar Aminu, Kingsley Madu, Elderson Echiejile, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Etebo Oghenekaro and Musa Muhammed. There were problems with a pair of players — Kelechi Iheanacho and Kenneth Omeruo — due to visa issues but officials said they expected it to be sorted out before Friday’s match.

But fans who watch the Nigeria vs. Mali football match live online will not see the Super Eagles team at full strength. Victor Moses will be missing, as the Chelsea winger had to be pulled from the roster due to what Goal.com described as a “fitness problem.”

“That news comes as a blow to a Nigeria side winless in their last four games and one that cannot qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations after Chad withdrew from the tournament.

“Chad’s withdrawal annulled a 2-0 win for Nigeria and left them with only two points from three games, ending the Super Eagles’ hopes of progressing to the finals.”

A number of other players will be missing for Nigeria, including forward Aaron Samuel Olanare who is suffering from a knee injury and defender William Troost-Ekong who will miss Friday’s match due to a club commitment but will be able to make the team’s next international friendly match against Luxembourg.

Captain John Obi Mikel and vice-captain Ahmed Musa will also miss the match as they have been excused to compete in the Joseph Yobo testimonial game in Port Harcourt on Friday.

“I have absolute confidence in the ability of the team coach Salisu Yusuf led out to France for the matches against Mali and Luxembourg,” Musa told Completesportsnigeria.com. “They can win the games without Mikel and I. It is a good opportunity for the players who have not been featuring for the Super Eagles to cement their places in the national team

“The game against Mali will be tough but I believe in the players in the Eagles squad can beat Mali if they play to instructions. We need to win the two matches and improve on our FIFA rankings as well as build up for World Cup qualifiers.”

Mali will be missing some players as well, with captain Seydou Keita not on the roster and midfielder Sambou Yatabare out with an injury.

The match could be an important one for the Super Eagles, could stand to make a move toward the FIFA Top 50 with a win. Nigeria currently sits No. 67 in the world with 540 points.

The FIFA rankings point to a nearly dead-even matchup. Mali is just two spots above Nigeria at No. 65, with a total of 551 points.
