Last night was the big series finale of Nashville, and now fans really want to know if this show will be back again. Nashville was canceled after Season 4, but everyone has been sharing that they hope it will return on another network. The fact that they ended Nashville with a cliffhanger is giving fans new hope. Viewers have been flooding social networks with the hashtag #BringBackNashville in hopes that they will get the show to come back again. This has worked for other shows in the past, so hopefully, someone is paying attention and will decide to pick up Nashville.
ABC News shared the details about how Nashville ended last night. Avery finally broke things off with Layla on Nashville, which gives fans hope that he will get back with Juliette Barnes. He reached out to her, and it looked like these two would get back together again. Then Nashville threw out a huge cliffhanger revealing that Juliette’s plane has disappeared from the radar and can’t be found. This went down after Avery and their daughter rushed to the airport to pick her up. Juliette could be just fine, totally lost, or even dead from a plane crash.
Us Magazine shared that Nashville gave fans hope it will be back again with this big cliffhanger. Lionsgate films actually went to Twitter and promised fans that this would not be a Nashville cliffhanger. They said, “What a cliffhanger! But we won’t leave you hanging. There’s more story to be told. #BringBackNashville.” They are obviously planning for the show Nashville to come back again. Fans are going to be really upset if they don’t get closure from this cliffhanger on the Nashville series finale. At least, now everyone knows how they wanted Nashville to end if this cliffhanger had not happened. Juliette and Avery would have got their happy ending.
There has been a lot of talk about Nashville filming more than one ending and for some reason, they decided to go with one that had a huge cliffhanger. The fact that Nashville did this makes everyone feel really confident that they are working on another season.
TV Line shared the details about the Nashville alternate ending that they had planned. Nashville actually shot a happy ending for Juliette and Avery. This would give this couple their happily ever after, but instead, they decided to air the cliffhanger. Multiple sources shared that they made this decision, hoping that Nashville would be more appealing to other networks if they still had this story left to tell. A source close to this show said the studio “is fully confident that there’s much more Nashville to be told. Tonight’s Season 4 finale ending speaks to that confidence. Not to frustrate or disappoint fans, rather Lionsgate, ABC Studios and Opry Entertainment are listening to fans’ outpouring of support online for more.” The fans need to keep sharing their thoughts on Nashville being canceled.
The people behind Nashville have allegedly been talking to several different networks about taking on Nashville for Season 5. Fans have discussed ideas such as Netflix or Hulu, but another network might decide that they want Nashville. Supergirl changed networks at the end of this season instead of being canceled. For now, fans will just have to wait and see what happens and if Nashville can find a way to return. Hopefully, the cast of Nashville doesn’t run off and find new jobs before they get an answer. The show would just not be the same if everyone doesn’t return.
