Casey Anthony: Former Lawyer Jose Baez Threatens To Sue Over Claims About Sexual Relationship With Her

Casey Anthony and her former lawyer, Jose Baez, are making headlines once again, but this time the claims are centered around what may have happened behind closed doors prior to the trial for Caylee Anthony’s murder. In fact, these thwarted claims could lead to numerous problems for Jose Baez.

According to People, there are now serious accusations that have been brought against Jose Baez. Casey’s former private investigator, Dominic Casey, claims she and Jose Baez were involved in a sexual relationship. The bombshell claims were reportedly included in a 15-page affidavit filed with her recent bankruptcy case. Casey claims Anthony used sex to compensate for the legal fees she incurred because she didn’t have the means to cover the staggering costs for her defense.

Dominic Casey claims Jose Baez told him the truth about the entire case. Casey Anthony allegedly admitted she’d murdered her daughter and disposed of her body, according to Fox News. But, unfortunately, he had no idea where the body was located. The court documents state that he [Baez] “told me that Casey had murdered Caylee and dumped the body somewhere and, he needed all the help he could get to find the body before anyone else did.” Casey also revealed he actually saw a “naked Casey Anthony” when he stopped by Jose Baez’s office unexpectedly.

However, Jose Baez insists the claims are completely false. He has released a statement in response to the allegations. “I unequivocally and categorically deny exchanging sex for my legal services with Ms. Anthony,” he wrote. “I further unequivocally and categorically deny having any sexual relationship with Ms. Anthony whatsoever.”

Baez also reiterated how his practice is run with integrity according to the ethical standards of the Florida Bar. He wants the world to know that he did not have a sexual relationship with Casey Anthony. Jose Baez has also threatened to sue over the sexual relationship allegations. “I have always conducted my practice consistent with the high ethical standards required of members of the Florida Bar,” he continued. “My representation of Ms. Anthony was no exception … Legal action is forthcoming,” Baez wrote.

The latest report about Casey Anthony and Jose Baez follows a massive news cycle with coverage of the highly publicized murder case on Caylee Anthony. The case was one many Americans assumed Anthony would be found guilty of due to the seemingly odd timeliness of events that took place. Several news outlets also noted that Anthony’s demeanor was also quite odd for a mother whose only child was missing. Anthony did not contact local authorities immediately after her daughter, aged 2 at the time of the murder, went missing.

On July 15, 2008, Caylee’s maternal grandparents, George and Cindy Anthony, reported her missing after not seeing her for 31 days. Despite Casey’s plea for another day, Cindy had enough. Missing reports about the child sparked a media firestorm as search teams began looking everywhere in hopes of finding her alive. But, on December 8, 2011, Caylee’s skeletal remains were found wrapped in a blanket.

Despite the 400 pieces of evidence presented during the trial, Casey Anthony was still acquitted of murder charges. With the help of Jose Baez, Casey was found not guilty of three counts regarding first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and aggravated child abuse. Although she was found guilty of providing false information to law enforcement, the relatively light prison sentence was quite lenient compared to what she could have faced if she’d been found guilty of murder.

If these claims are proven to be true, Jose Baez could possibly lose his license to practice law. Do you think Jose Baez could have been sexually involved with Casey Anthony? Share your thoughts.
