Josh Duggar Reportedly ‘Arrogant’ As Ever, Anna Duggar Possibly Pregnant [Rumor]

Josh Duggar has not been humbled by having to admit to being a hypocrite, and spending six months in a faith-based treatment center did not inspire him to change the way he treats his wife. According to a recent report, Josh still thinks very highly of himself, and he seems pretty certain that he’ll soon be successful enough to support a family of five or more kids. He and Anna Duggar have reportedly “resumed their normal sex routine,” and there’s a high likelihood that Anna is already pregnant.

A Duggar family insider recently told In Touch Weekly (via Hollywood Life) that Anna is being “joyfully available” for Josh Duggar now that he’s home from sex addiction rehab. In other words, she and Josh are trying for their fifth child.

“I would have hoped they’d have put the brakes on sex after he got out [of rehab], but they are back to their normal sex routine,” the insider revealed. “I would not be surprised one bit if Anna is already pregnant.”

As the Daily Mail reports, Anna Duggar decided not to divorce her husband of seven years after he confessed to cheating on her and being addicted to internet pornography. Instead, Anna prayed for her marriage to be restored while Josh sought treatment at a Christian recovery facility. She got her wish, but the Duggar family insider says that Josh isn’t treating Anna any better now that he’s back home.

“I was expecting Josh to be much more humble and quiet, a less arrogant person after everything he’d done, but nope. He was the same old Josh, constantly talking, full of himself, really aggressive and making Anna do everything — not helpful to her at all.”

As People reports, Anna Duggar thought that her husband had humbled himself and changed the direction of his life after he sexually molested his younger sisters as a teenager. Josh told Anna about the molestation before they got married in 2008, but the public and Josh Duggar’s employer, the Family Research Council, didn’t learn about his dark past until last year. Josh was forced to resign from his position as the executive director of the conservative Christian group’s political lobbying arm after news of the scandal broke. This left him jobless, so he and Anna had to leave their new home in Washington, D.C., and move back to Arkansas.

When Josh Duggar confessed to cheating on his wife a few weeks later, he released a statement on the Duggar Family website in which he admitted to being “the biggest hypocrite ever.”

“While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife,” Josh wrote.

Josh Duggar was referring to the controversial work he did during his time with the Family Research Council. He spent a lot of time speaking out against gay marriage because he and his family believe it’s a sin, but he certainly wasn’t upholding the sanctity of marriage by cheating on his wife. On multiple occasions, Josh Duggar claimed that he was protecting families by fighting against gay marriage, and, as Crushable reports, Josh expressed a belief that legalizing same-sex marriage was granting LGBT couples “special rights,” not equal rights.

Josh made other comments that seem hypocritical now that his dirty laundry has been aired. As ThinkProgress reports, he claimed that he was standing up for women and children when he spoke out against allowing transgender men and women to use the public restrooms of their choice.

“We have to make sure we’re standing up to protect the rights of privacy and protecting the well-being of women and children in our cities,” Duggar said during one of his FRC speeches.

As mentioned earlier, In Touch Weekly’s Duggar family insider claims that Josh Duggar is “arrogant” as well as hypocritical, and Josh has made comments that suggest that he thinks pretty highly of himself and his famous family. During a rally for Rick Santorum, Josh described his family as “the epitome of conservative values.” As Talking Points Memo reports, Josh has also said that he’s one of the most important members of the Duggars’ massive clan.

“I had a greater influence on my younger siblings than my parents did in so many ways,” Josh stated during a 2014 homeschooling conference.

Josh Duggar dropped another hint that he views himself in a positive light when he told the Washington Post that politics could use more used car salesmen like himself.

“I learned how you make a payroll and treat people right,” Josh said of running a used car lot. “We could use quite a bit of that in politics.”
