Ariana Grande’s Collaborations Are The Secret Of Her New Album’s Success

Ariana Grande has been quite active on iTunes lately, releasing new music collaborations with Macy Gray, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne, according to Billboard. The 22-year-old superstar, who released her new album Dangerous Woman on Friday, May 20, released eight songs from the album prior to the album’s release.

Right before Ariana Grande debuted “Leave Me Lonely,” featuring Macy Gray, on Beats 1, she said she had already found a special place in her heart for that powerful R&B song. Grande then went on to praise Gray, calling her a legend and saying that her voice is very “beautiful and soulful.”

And while neither Ariana Grande not Gray’s fans would argue with that statement, the song could indeed become a hit, as it has a rhythm that can’t be shaken off and it features that signature husky voice of Gray’s.

Ariana Grande first premiered the song featuring Gray at the grand opening night of the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas last month. It’s the eighth song Grande released on Apple Music from her newly released Dangerous Woman album, teasing her fans and leaving them to wonder what collaborations to expect next.

And Ariana Grande sure knows how to tease her fans, as the singer followed a similar approach with the release of her previous album My Everything two years ago. Back then, the singer dropped a few Twitter and Instagram-based previews from the album.

But with her third studio album, Ariana Grande has dropped eight tracks on Apple Music ready for streaming, featuring her collaboration with Nicki Minaj in “Side to Side” and that sexy song “Everyday” featuring Future.

In her interview with KIIS FM, Ariana Grande admitted that she had always wanted to work with Future, but she struggled to find “the right song” to do together due to the fact that their music styles are very different. And it looks like Grande found that song that turned out to be in harmony with both her and Future’s style.

As for her collaboration with Nicki Minaj, it has been the third time Ariana Grande and Minaj teamed up to do a hit song together. In 2014, the two released “Bang Bang” with Jessie J and “Get on Your Knees.”

Ariana Grande also recently released a new music video featuring Lil Wayne for the song “Let Me Love You,” according to MTV. And the music video is sort of politically charged, as Lil Wayne is making fun of GOP front-runner Donald Trump’s official campaign slogan “Make America Great Again” in it.

The music video was directed by Grant Singer, who also put together The Weeknd’s music videos for his hit songs “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face.” In the video, Ariana Grande is seen rolling around on a piano in various places, while Lil Wayne makes fun of Trump.

Lil Wayne was featured in the music video with a Make America Skate Again hat, which came from Less Than Local skate wear shop. And Ariana Grande opted for a vintage pair of sunglasses she purchased in Tokyo.

As noted by MTV, Lil Wayne finally got to be the tallest person in a music video. The 5’6? singer managed to become the tallest person in the clip due to the fact that Ariana Grande is 5’0 – and also the fact that they were the only ones who appeared in the video.

In fact, it’s worth watching the video also because Ariana Grande flashes her underwear in it. Remember the times when Grande was a teen pop princess? Well, now she is a sexy woman who sure knows how to seduce millions of people around the world with her music videos.

And no article on Ariana Grande would be complete without reminding everyone of the singing superstar’s recent lip sync conversation with Jimmy Fallon. Enjoy!
