Meghan Trainor recently made headlines with her hit song “No” with several celebrities referencing it. Among them were Julia and John Travolta, with the latter likening it to his daughter Ella’s attitude, when dealing with guys, saying she is smart enough to know when a person is not genuine. The following was his revelation in regard to this.
“The song ‘My name is no, my number is no…let it go’ – that’s her. She’s smart. She knows if someone has a pitch for her because it’s her or because it’s her name. She can tell the difference… And she’s gorgeous so anyone would want to be with Ella. But I think she’s discerning just by her instincts and her nature.”
This was while speaking to People. That said, Meghan Trainor recently fell while on stage during a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Thankfully, she had just finished performing and as she turned to face the audience, she lost her balance and fell. Jimmy Fallon, however, saved the moment expertly, turning it into a graceful one by lying down beside his guest on the floor. The following is the clip.
She later on tweeted about the incident stating that she was alright and didn’t feel any pain until hours later. The following were her tweets.
“Might have fell down… but I KILLLED that sh-t hahaha,” she wrote. “#keepinitreal thank you @fallontonight.”
“Haha I didn’t feel it till hours later. I’m all good tho. Barely a scratch”
That said, Meghan Trainor recently pulled the video of her song “Me Too,” after realizing that her waist had been Photoshopped to look leaner. As a woman who is proud of her body, she felt embarrassed by this as the video had already been released to the world. The following was her statement regarding this on Snapchat.
“My waist is not that teeny. I had a bomb waist that night, I don’t know why they didn’t like my waist. I didn’t approve that video and it went out to the world so I’m embarrassed.”
This is according to Us Weekly. On why she chose to remove it, she stated that she was all about non-Photoshopped stuff saying, ” I’m the poster child for no Photoshop. That is my thing!” The video highlighted a mentality in the entertainment industry that “skinny” is hot, but also gave her the opportunity to send a message to her female fans that they should be proud of their body types regardless.
This was while speaking to the BBC. Meghan also stated that one of her friends recently told her that she had a unique voice, in that she spoke about stuff other artists would consider uncomfortable and that many of her fans loved her for it. The following was her actual statement.
“A friend said to me, ‘You talk about things that people feel but they’re too shy or embarrassed to admit, and you make us feel comfortable again,”
Speaking about not being shy with her revelations, she just gave an incredibly embarrassing answer to a question on the red carpet just a few days ago, making a reference to Brad Pitt. The question was, “What’s the stupidest question you have been asked on the red carpet?”. The following was her answer.
“‘If you could wear a celebrity’s underwear for a day, whose would it be?’ That was the grossest. I said, ‘Brad Pitt,” but oh, my God.'”
