Gwen Stefani & Ex-Husband Gavin Rossdale Met Secretly About Blake Shelton Amid Pregnancy & Engagement Rumors
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton began dating last October after she divorced Gavin Rossdale and he split from Miranda Lambert. As Gwen and Blake heated up their romance, Shelton formed a bond with her sons. But when Rossdale learned about the situation, he and Stefani met secretly to discuss her romance with Blake, a family insider told Us Weekly.
Rossdale was upset that Shelton, 39, has become so close to Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2. Gavin and Gwen have shared custody, and the former couple went through an “emotional” session recently in which the 50-year-old emphasized his rights as a father.
Married for almost 13 years before breaking up in August, 2015, he and Stefani, 46, talked about how her romance with Shelton will impact their children. Rossdale insisted on being involved in every aspect of her relationship with Blake that applies to the little boys.
But as for how Shelton feels about Stefani’s ex-husband? He has no desire to help keep Rossdale informed about his sons, and is “disgusted” that he was unfaithful to Stefani with the children’s nanny, an insider close to Blake told Us.
“[Blake] has nothing to do with Gavin. He can’t forgive someone who treated his lady that way.”
Stefani reportedly discovered the affair that Rossdale was having with the nanny when she read “naughty messages” on the family iPad. Following his divorce from Gwen, he received less than 50 percent of her assets but still managed to afford the most expensive home in Studio City, California, paying more than $7.6 million for his new abode, according to the New York Daily News.
The features of the 8,000-square foot house include six bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, a wine cellar, a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and three fire pits.
Gwen was seen wearing a diamond band on her ring finger, causing many to speculate that Shelton had proposed and Stefani had said yes, according to Hollywood Life.
Fans joined in the speculation about the significance of Gwen’s ring.
“Will we ever get an explanation of the diamond band on her left hand ring finger???????” asked one.
Shelton mocked the pregnancy rumors, noted Hollywood Take.
“I read that we’re having twins in the latest tabloid, and I think you can fit two humans in [my belly],” joked Shelton. “Maybe three in there!”
Shelton even posed with an imitation baby bump for a photo with his pal Adam Levine’s pregnant wife, Behati Prinsloo.
But as for how Shelton really feels about having a baby with Stefani and getting married?
“Blake could propose to Gwen very soon,” a source close to Blake told Us Weekly. “Gwen is everything he wants.”
And that includes Gwen’s three little boys, who adore Shelton. That affection is mutual, added the insider, and he wants to expand the family by having a baby with Stefani.
“With Gwen, Blake has the family life he’d hoped to have with Miranda. Her kids love him as much as she does. Blake wants kids of his own. And Gwen is willing to try!”
Not only is she willing, but Stefani has turned to IVF treatments, according to a source quoted by Hollywood Life.
“Gwen’s been told by fertility doctors that she needs to relax her strict diet and workout regimen as she hopes to become pregnant with Blake’s child,” revealed the source. “She’s gained seven pounds in the past month and has already begun IVF treatments, which also cause weight gain because of the hormones.”
The treatments increase the odds of having twins, and Stefani reportedly “would be thrilled” if she does have twins, and is hoping for at least one daughter, added the source.
“This is a big adventure for Gwen and Blake, and they’re ready for whatever the future holds.”
