After Tamar Braxton took to Instagram to take serious aim at an unknown person affiliated with The Real after it was announced that she would not be returning for a third series, rumors are now swirling that the show could be preparing to leak footage of Braxton’s alleged past bad behavior on set.
According to Page Six, Tamar hasn’t been doing herself any favors by telling fans on Instagram on May 22 that she was “stabbed in the back” by an unnamed person on The Real, and her recent candid tell-all could have soured things even further between herself the show’s production.
An insider close to production alleged to the site that Telepictures, the company that produces The Real, “is really frustrated with how she’s handling things” and could supposedly be preparing to leak some not so flattering footage of Braxton to the world.
“If she continues to smear her co-hosts and the show, they’re going to release the video and audio of her blowing up on set,” a source alleged.
I love u all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted ( not my man or my sisters) I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch (????) and it's not in good taste to tell you who...... but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own. But know that every one who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light. Thank GOD HE HOLDS MY FUTURE AND MY HAND! (Remember who u are)....I am Tamar Braxton. And if you thought for 1 sec u played me.....In the late great prince and the amazing Beyoncé voice you PLAYED yourself???? to God be the Glory and I will be taking a short break from ALL social media...until then❤️ yourself and WATCH YOUR BACK ( I put this picture up cause this is the embrace I got from my sister and best friend that she ALWAYS gives when she knows I've been had)
Reports that The Real production could be planning to drop leaked backstage footage of Tamar’s supposed on-set “blow up” come after Tamar blew off some serious steam on Instagram, where she confirmed that she would not be returning for the third season of the daytime talk show.
“I love u all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted (not my man or my sisters),” Tamar told fans on the photo sharing site last week. “I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch and it’s not in good taste to tell you who… but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own,” Braxton wrote.
Tamar Braxton then continued to tell fans that “every one who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light. Thank GOD HE HOLDS MY FUTURE AND MY HAND!”
Braxton also called out the unnamed perpetrator in her candid message, writing, “And if you thought for 1 sec u played me… In the late great Prince and the amazing Beyoncé voice you PLAYED yourself.”
Fans were quick to speculate that Tamar may have been referring to one of her co-stars, Tamara Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, or Jeannie Mai with her cryptic tweet, though Braxton’s former co-hosts have since taken to social media to deny their involvement in Braxton’s sudden departure.
The Jasmine Brand appeared to confirm that drama with her co-stars was not to blame for Tamar’s exit earlier this week, and reported that Tamara, Jeannie, Adrienne, and Loni are all “devastated” by the news that Braxton will not be returning.
The site reported that the decision not to bring Tamar back for a third season was solely that of The Real‘s executive producer and likely happened as a result of Braxton’s poor audience testing and less than stellar relationship with the crew.
The insider told the site after it was announced that Braxton would not be returning that “no one outside of Warner Brothers and the [executive producer] know” exactly why Tamar was fired, but speculated that she did not test well with focus groups and even alleged that Braxton “may have been difficult for production to work with.”
The Daily Mail also speculated that it was Braxton’s behavior on The Real that could have led to her shocking departure, as an insider claimed that the final straw for production came earlier this month when Tamar allegedly “exploded” behind-the-scenes after losing a game during filming.
“It was an ugly scene. Pinterest was sponsoring the segment and Tamar was genuinely upset she was losing the game,” a source claimed to The Daily Mail. “She really acted out during the taping in front of the studio audience and then exploded behind the scenes once the show was done.”
The insider also claimed that Braxton had “frequent” outbursts on the set during her two seasons on the show and alleged that Tamar “was becoming unbearable to work with.”
What do you think of reports claiming that it was Tamar Braxton’s “outbursts” that saw her fired from The Real?
