Grigor Dimitrov Consoled By Girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger After French Open Failure

Grigor Dimitrov was consoled by his girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger after losing in the first round of French Open 2016. The fact that he is not living up to his nickname Baby Fed must be having a heavy toll on his mind right now. Good thing that Nicole Scherzinger stepped into Paris to make him feel better.

“They have been plagued with split rumours in recent months,” reports Daily Mail. “Yet Nicole Scherzinger and Grigor Dimitrov truly silenced their critics as they put on an extremely cosy display during a trip to Paris on Sunday. The 37-year-old former Pussycat Dolls frontwoman jetted to the French capital to watch her beau, 25, play in the French Open Roland Garros – a match he sadly lost.”

Check out a picture of the singer that her boyfriend possibly took in Paris.

He and Nicole got together earlier this year and were spotted for the first time in Australia during the hard court season.

“Nicole, who was supporting her man at the Brisbane International tournament, looked very-loved up as she and Grigor strolled through the tennis grounds,” reports Hello! Magazine, “Walking hand-in-hand, the pair stopped to kiss before Nicole, 37, affectionately wiped her lipstick mark off her boyfriend’s lips.”

Before Nicole, Grigor was involved with a fellow tennis player Maria Sharapova for several years before calling it off. Some fans have speculated that it was because of her success that he could not get himself to play at his best level, but it looks like that even after his relationship with the Russian player, he is still not finding his footing.

“The Bulgarian, a former top-tenner, now down to No 36 in the world and unseeded in Paris, was up two-sets-to-one and leading 4-2 in the fourth before he succumbed 2-6, 6-3, 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 to No 22 seed Viktor Troicki in a three-hour, 35-minute battle,” reports Sports 360.

The Bulgarian tennis player expressed disappointment in himself and his confusion during the press conference after the terrible match.

I’ve lost a lot of confidence in myself,” Grigor said to Sports 360. “It’s not easy to come off losing those kind of matches, those close matches. In the past years I’ve been winning those close matches and that gives you a lot of confidence and motivation… I’ve been there before but this time it’s just kind of different. Sometimes it’s scary of course, it’s just really scary.”

He also revealed what he is the most scared by.

“What scares me is that I’m really not finding a way and usually I’m pretty good at bouncing back, whether it’s from a loss or something else,” he said. “A lot of losses have always motivated me – just right now it’s not happening.”

Sounds like he is baring his soul to the media in hopes that by talking about it, he will be able to sort his game out after his French Open failure.

He has been trying to keep himself positive before French Open started, posting motivated pictures like the one below.

But so far, he has not posted any pictures with his new girlfriend, hoping to keep the relationship as private as possible.

“They’re completely besotted with each other,” said a source according to Perez Hilton. “But they’ve been careful not to be pictured together because they don’t want the pressure of the relationship being in the public eye.”

The fact that he is doing very badly in his career right now means that he probably doesn’t want any more unwanted attention as well.
