Ariana Grande Gets Cheeky In ‘Into You’: Is It About Her Boyfriend Ricky Alvarez?

Ariana Grande just released her sexy new video for “Into You.” The 23-year-old pop singer is proving that she’s all grown up and very much in love these days.

The singer showed off her cheeky side in the video that shows her singing about a secret affair in the middle of a desert. Grande and her love interest (America’s Next Top Model’s Don Benjamin) are seen dancing, drinking, flirting, and making out at the seedy Honeymoon Inn until it’s revealed that he’s her bodyguard and that she’s been in a public relationship with another singer. Grande’s new music video was shot by director Hannah Lux Davis.

She’s then escorted to a Hollywood party with the guy who she’s unhappy to be with. Ariana sits at the table while her bodyguard watches in the background. The petite diva then bolts out of the party while Benjamin chases after her.

Ariana is also seen rocking some different duds in the video. In most of the scenes, she’s seen wearing a fringe jacket with cheeky cutoff denim shorts. In other scenes, Ariana is wearing a black bustier with black baggy cargo bottoms and boots, similar to the outfit she wore during her performance at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night.

Fans have been wondering if Grande’s new music video is about her boyfriend Ricky Alvarez who is also her backup dancer. That would mean that she would have to have a secret affair with the dancer while dating another man. Other famous men that Grande has dated in the past include rapper Big Sean and singer Nathan Sykes.

The starlet has recently opened up about her relationship with Ricky Alvarez in an interview for the latest issue of Billboard. She admitted that she’s satisfied with the state of their relationship.

“We’re happy. I’m a very happy girl. I have a healthy life right now, and I think that’s all anyone cares to now. The end.”

Ricky and Ariana were first linked when they were spotted kissing on stage in the middle of a performance. They made the rumors swirl again when they were spotted kissing inside a donut shop when “donutgate” happened. That was around the same time when Ariana was heard saying “I hate America” while licking donuts that were out in the open.

While it’s not clear whether Alvarez inspired “Into You,” Grande’s good friend and co-writer Victoria Monet says that he inspired the track “Moonlight” on Dangerous Woman, which dropped on Friday, May 20.

“That’s what Ricky called her one night. I think it was after their first kiss. He wanted to kiss her for a long time, and she was really impressed. He’s such a gentleman, and the song is a great little bookmark of the start of their relationship.”

Prior to starting a relationship with the dancer, Ariana dated Big Sean for eight months. The couple went their separate ways in April 2015 because of their hectic schedules. Ariana was quoted telling V magazine (via Billboard) that she took their breakup really well and that she had no plan to include any breakup songs on her upcoming album, which was originally titled Moonlight.

“People found out quite a while after [the breakup] actually happened. By the time I was writing the new album, I had kind of moved on. It’s not going to be captured on the album too much. I’m in a happy place. There aren’t any breakup anthems because I had moved on. I was like, ‘All right. Well, f*** it.'”
