Usher Custody Decision To Be Appealed by Tameka Raymond

The custody battle between singer Usher and ex-wife Tameka Raymond watched round one go to Usher after a judge issued primary custody to the international superstar. Now Tameka is preparing to file an appeal, claiming the judge was biased towards her ex-husband’s legal team.

On Friday, a judge ruled in favor of Usher, providing him with primary custody of the couple’s two young children.

Tameka Raymond is now claiming that Usher’s lawyers and the judge overseeing their case have a conflict on interest. In 2008, the law firm representing Usher threw a fundraising event for Judge Lane in which they raised $1,278.

Throughout the custody battle, Tameka’s own attorney has pointed out that Usher is constantly on the road and would therefore not be able to properly give his children the attention they deserve.

At this time, an appeal has not yet been filed. Tameka is believed to be looking with her legal team for an appeals attorney who can focus in on the conflict of interest.

Following the courts decision, Tameka tweeted:

“Money can buy many things… But in the end. Truth & goodness will prevail.”

She then added:

“I must continue to believe this. Stand firm.”

In a previous tweet, Tameka added:

“A woman’s loyalty is tested when her man has nothing… A mans loyalty is tested when he has everything!” and “Don’t fear the enemy that attacks you… Fear the fake friend that hugs you. There’s not much worse.”

Tameka has recently said she never wanted to enter into a custody battle with Usher and was happy with their previous joint custody agreement.
