Tamar Braxton is exiting her three-year stint on Fox’s daytime talk show The Real after claiming that she was “stabbed in the back.”
Fans of the Fox talk show quickly took to social media to speculate on why Tamar had been let go from the series, with a slew of viewers suggesting that Braxton’s The Real co-hosts may have something to do with her departure.
Notably, Tamar slammed an unknown person on Instagram after the shocking news broke, before proceeding to unfollow three of her four The Real co-hosts, Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, and Jeannie Mai, on Twitter, but not Tamera Mowry-Housley, which has The Real fans alleging that Adrienne, Loni, and Jeannie could be behind her exit.
“I KNOW Adrienne Bailon had something to do with this Tamar situation,” @NawImGo_od tweeted out, “she has NEVER apologized to Naturi Naughton #thereal.”
“One you got some explaining to do @AdrienneBailon @jeanniemai @LoniLove we need answers now,” @melaninroses wrote on the social media site, and @Laneil89 noted, “I wanna know WTF @AdrienneBailon @LoniLove and @jeanniemai did to my @TamarBraxtonHer…. Now y’all know the tamartians make those RATINGS.”
“Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai, and Loni Love have all been working behind the scenes to POISON Tamar with producers,” @_MostHated24 speculated, and @PrincessSuperK claimed, “reading Tamar’s instagram post makes me think its either Adrienne or Loni cus she says trusted this person and she never liked Jeannie.”
The social media speculation came shortly after Braxton took to Instagram on May 22 to reveal that she would not be returning for another season and claimed that she has been “stabbed in the back” by someone she trusted.
Tamar Braxton wrote on the social media site that she had “been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted (not my man or my sisters)” but would not reveal who her scathing message was aimed at.
“I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch and it’s not in good taste to tell you who… but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own,” Braxton wrote.
“Know that everyone who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light,” Tamar added on the social media site, before telling the unknown assailant, “And if you thought for 1 sec u played me… In the late great Prince and the amazing Beyoncé voice you PLAYED yourself.”
Writing “But when so do…,” Loni tweeted out a photo of a dinosaur on a Segway alongside the text, “I have no idea what’s going on so here’s a picture of a dinosaur in a top hat and monocle, riding on a Segway.”
But while fans are speculating that behind-the-scenes drama is behind Tamar’s decision to leave the show, a source admitted to The Jasmine Brand that such claims are not true and alleged that Braxton’s now former co-stars are actually all “devastated” by the news of her exit.
Despite fans pointing the finger at Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, and Jeannie Mai, as source claimed that Braxton’s fellow hosts “had no idea that Tamar would be terminated” and are “devastated” that she won’t be returning for a third season.
“There wasn’t a meeting called. There weren’t even warning signs and they had nothing to do with her firing,” the insider claimed. “They didn’t even know that a statement was being put out … The hosts really get along behind-the-scenes and they’re p***** that they were left in the dark about this.”
As for why Tamar opted to unfollow her fellow co-stars, the insider claimed that Braxton opted to cut social media ties with Adrienne, Loni, and Jeannie “because she probably doesn’t want to see them posting about the show that just axed her, unfairly.”
“The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season,” the statement read. “She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar’s efforts and the contributions she has made to the show’s success, and we wish her all the best for the future.”
What do you think of Tamar leaving The Real? Do you think Tamar Braxton was alluding to bad blood with her co-stars in her Instagram post?
