‘Game of Thrones’ High Sparrow Could Have Revealed A Death At King’s Landing

Game of Thrones is back for season 6, and it’s been episode after episode of crazy revelations and exciting twists. Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen owned the Dothraki tribe (with her amazing body) and Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch Jon Snow is alive and well (sort of).

We have so much exciting stuff happening on Game of Thrones season 6 and George R.R. Martin will just have to keep up with the series!

But speaking of plot and story lines, we have yet another spoiler fresh and piping hot from one of our not-so-favorite Game of Thrones characters. With six episodes left in Game of Thrones season 6, what bigger, crazier happenings should we expect at King’s Landing? Jonathan Pryce, actor who plays the High Sparrow in Game of Thrones, reveals a crucial detail that will surely excite all Game of Thrones fans.

Spoilers up ahead. Tread carefully.

In an interview with Polish magazine Kawerna, Jonathan Pryce talks about his character in Game of Thrones and how some very devious plans of the Lannisters are going to unfold quite well. Mashable translates Pryce’s interview with Kawerna.

“Everyone is waiting impatiently for Cersei’s trial in the Sept. Literally everybody is going to be there. My protagonist has let his guard down – he is absolutely certain that Cersei will show up (at his request). When the messengers inform him that she hasn’t left her home he still believes that she is going to show up at the trial because in his opinion she should be there.

“Meanwhile, behind his back — and in his closest environment — there is some scheming going on and everybody is plotting against everybody. The tension is gradually building as the huge Sept is filling up with people — High Sparrow is still happy with the turn of events and he is convinced that everything is going according to the plan. He does not suspect that something unpleasant is about to happen…”

The Lannisters and Tyrells have been pretty much scheming their way into the whole Game of Thrones series, and from the looks of it, based on the High Sparrow’s hints, the Lannister/Tyrell plan—which is basically to bring the whole Tyrell army into King’s Landing to do whatever they want with the High Sparrow (we’re thinking and hoping it’s going to be bloody)—is going to unfold.

While we are expecting Game of Thrones’ High Sparrow to somehow outmaneuver Cersei Lannister with his scheming tricks, it seems that his words “let his guard down” could mean that maybe the Lannisters could be pulling off a one up from the High Sparrow.

At the end of the day, this Game of Thrones character could have revealed a death at King’s Landing—and it could be his own. Australia Network News believes that the High Sparrow’s death, along with many others, could be at Cersei’s hand based on the Game of Thrones theory that she will become aware that the Tyrells orchestrated Joffrey’s murder. Could this be a very Red Wedding part 2?

The Citizen’s Auburn Pub, however, disagrees, and believes that Cersei (played by actress Lena Headey) and Jaime Lannister’s (played by actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) plot against Game of Thrones’ High Sparrow will go wrong.
