‘Fast And Furious 8’ Star, Vin Diesel, Pays Tribute To Friend, Paul Walker

The Fast and Furious franchise continues as Vin Diesel and the rest of the cast are hard at work filming for Fast and Furious 8. However, that doesn’t mean that they have forgotten what it has taken to get the film franchise as far as it has gone. Over the years, there have been many characters that have come and gone in the Fast and Furious movies, but one of the saddest departures has been the death of Paul Walker.

Paul Walker died on November 30, 2013, ironically, in a car accident. It has been almost three years since his passing but his co-stars remember him fondly.

Us Weekly Magazine helps us see how the stars of Fast and Furious 8 may have felt about Paul Walker’s death.

“Diesel spoke in January about the Fast and the Furious cast’s shock over Walker’s tragic death, and how they didn’t know whether they should continue the series without the actor, who died as Furious 7 was nearing completion.”

Three weeks ago, Vin Diesel posted this photo collage of him and Paul Walker.

Fans of the Fast and Furious movies expressed their sadness in the comments, talking about how he was special to them and how they miss him still.

Just yesterday, he posted a picture with some commentary that really tells us how Vin Diesel feels about his friend and missing him.

The comments read as follows.

“Many of the crew members who have worked on several of the past Fast films are here again to help us make something special. One of them at the end of the week came up to me and said wow what we are capturing on film is excellent… And then looked at me and said Paul would be proud.”

Vin Diesel has returned to play the role of Dominic Toretto in Fast and Furious 8. It seems like the character will be taking some dark turns in the movie and it is weighing heavily on Vin Diesel. Vin posted a video on his Instagram account where he is working out at the gym. He talks about having to take on some of the darkness of his character to be able to do a good job. In the video he expresses his feelings about that.

“I’m grateful that I have this gym here to escape in and kind of balance my emotions so that I can be effective but try not to take the pain with me.”

Diesel is not the only one that will be thinking of Paul Walker as they watch Fast and Furious 8. Walker was a big part of the movies and he had a lot of fans, and when he died in 2013, some people wondered if there would ever be another Fast and Furious movie. They had not even quiet finished filming Fast and Furious 7 when Walker had his accident.

Fast and Furious 8 looks to be an exciting movie with a female villain, Charlize Theron. Movie News Guide says about Theron’s villainous role, “…the “Mad Max” actress will be pitted against Torreto’s band of car racers.”

Scott Eastwood is also new to the Fast and Furious cast and previous characters will return as well, played by Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock), and Ludacris.

Are you excited to see the newest Fast and Furious movie? If you are, mark April 14, 2017, on your calendar as that is the date that it is due to be released.
