Tim Tebow’s Madden Rating Ranks 2nd Best Among Jets’ Quarterbacks

According to Madden NFL 13, Tim Tebow is rightfully the backup quarterback for the New York Jets. Tebow’s Madden rating was three points lower than Mark Sanchez, who will be taking the majority of snaps during Week 1 of the NFL season.

According to Bleacher Report, Tebow will be used during Wildcat sets and on the punt team. And judging by Tebow’s Madden rating, that’s probably a good choice. Tebow ranked high for throwing power, but scored poorly for accuracy. The tabloid’s favorite quarterback did, however, score great in rushing categories like speed, agility, and juke abilities.

Tebow’s Madden rating reiterates what everyone has already been saying. Tebow is a great scrambler and an OK, at best, passer.

According to the video game, Mark Sanchez and Tebow are basically opposites. Tebow was marked low for his passing game but high for his rushing abilities. Sanchez, on the other hand, ranked well in the passing categories and poorly in the run categories.

Are you surprised that Sanchez is ranked higher than Tebow? Both quarterbacks are nowhere near the top 10. Aaron Rodgers is the best rated quarterback this year, followed by Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Eli Manning. Mark Sanchez ranks at 26th. Tebow comes in at 32nd.
