Pilots from Turkish Airlines were flying from Turkish resort Town of Bodrum to the country's largest city, Istanbul, when they saw a mysterious green light over their plane. Late on May 19, a strange object flashing green lights flew over their plane, stirring speculation about a "UFO sighting," Harriet Daily News reported.
"An unidentified object with green lights passed 2 to 3,000 feet above us. Then it disappeared all of a sudden. We are guessing that it was a UFO," the two pilots told the Air Traffic Control Center at Istanbul's Atatürk Airport.
The UFO was reported to be seen around Istanbul's Silivri district. The object and the mysterious green light were spotted when the plane was flying at around 17,000 feet above sea level at around 11:30 p.m. on May 19, according to the pilots.
