Miley Cyrus Turning Gay? Evan Rachel Wood Defends Joke

Sure, Miley Cyrus recently got engaged to Liam Hemsworth, but that new haircut of hers shows that the former Disney star is slowly turning into a lesbian.

Right?

Earlier this week Evan Rachel Wood, who is bisexual, made a joke about Cyrus’ new short blonde haircut, saying: “I called it! Miley Cyrus is leaning toward gay.”

Well, the joke didn’t go over well with Miley’s fans and the LGBT community.

But Wood didn’t apologize for the joke. Instead, she said that it was time for people to get a sense of humor.

In a series of Tweets, Wood wrote:

“Ok. To be clear. I believe you should be able to joke and have a sense of humour about everything. And I hate explaining, but just to be clear, I don’t judge people on how they look. Nor do I associate a hair style with sexuality. I myself am bisexual and have always ‘joked’ about Miley giving me gay vibes. Not a bad thing! Just an observation. So I ‘joked’ when she cut her hair that it supported my case. But, I am not so closes minded or into stereotypes or labelling. It was a joke.”

And it doesn’t look like Miley minded the joke either. The two stars started following each other on Twitter shortly afterward, something that Wood used as proof that her joke wasn’t offensive.

Wood said: “Now Miley Cyrus and I are friends. Let this be a lesson to all of you.”

It never ceases to amaze me how many people lack a sense of humor.
