Jamie Foxx And Katie Holmes Are Not In A Relationship, Rep Confirms, But Rumors Persist

Over the years, Katie Holmes has dealt with many rumors following her, but only one rumor has endured, and that’s the news item that she’s in a secret relationship with Jamie Foxx.

It’s odd that a news story without merit comes up every few months and has to be denied over and over, but it seems like when it comes to the saga of Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes, nothing can stop people from wanting to see these two together. This takes into account that the two were only snapped twice: one in a recording studio and another at a function.

Since rumors started years ago about the two, Katie and Jamie haven’t been snapped outside of events, but still the narrative persists that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are living double lives and are madly in love with each other. Some reports have even moved on to say they’re planning a wedding.

The most recent denial comes from Katie Holmes rep after rumors circulated that she was pregnant with Foxx’s child, with an impending wedding on the way. After OK! Magazine ran the headline this month, Holmes publicist called it “categorically untrue.”

At the time, a source said that Jamie Foxx was calling off the nuptials “until they’d settle into life with a new baby.”

The source continued, “It’s understandable Katie would start to feel insecure about the relationship, and she definitely wouldn’t want to raise another child on her own, as she’s been forced to do with Suri since she left Tom [Cruise].”

Foxx even said that the rumors have become so persistent that they’re causing troubles at home with his actual girlfriend.

At the time, he told Dish Nation, “I’m not the person who wants to be defined by anybody I date. Even if I was dating someone, no one would know anyway, but it affects my situation because I got a girl, who’s like ‘yo, who’s this b****?’.”

So, what’s the deal with these two, and why do the public so desperately want them together?

Perhaps people just want to see Katie Holmes move on after she escaped her marriage to Tom Cruise. If that sounds a bit dramatic, it’s because it is, but it’s the truth. Holmes did everything to keep her divorce filing a secret and even flew to New York to escape Cruise when the papers were filed in 2012. While many outlets speculated why Holmes decided to pull the plug on the marriage, there was one detail that seemed concrete enough for everyone to report on, and that’s was Cruise getting blindsided by the overnight divorce. There was even a rumor that high ranking officers at the Church of Scientology had flown to New York to intervene.

Enter in Jamie Foxx — the pair had known each other for years but were filmed and photographed dancing together at a party in the Hamptons back in 2013, then they were photographed “holding hands” in a recording studio years later. These two appearances were enough to continue the firestorm of rumors that has still followed the pair. Us Weekly dubbed Foxx as her “secret love,” while People Magazine just had to investigate.

Back in March of 2016, People Magazine spoke to sources that said there was some truth behind Jamie and Katie’s relationship.

“This is not some intense romance. Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn. But contrary to those conclusions, they’re not about to run off and make some serious commitment.”
