‘The Vampire Diaries’: Candice King On ‘Klaroline’ – Season 9 Of ‘TVD’ Possible, Network President Hints [Spoilers]

The Vampire Diaries Season 7 finale revealed one couple reuniting. However, all fans have their own opinions on who should be together and why. There are even some that are hoping Caroline Forbes and Klaus Mikaelson may have a chance. So, what did actress Candice King have to say about “Klaroline?” Also, find out what The CW president had to say about a possible Season 9 of TVD.

Warning: Possible spoilers for The Vampire Diaries are ahead.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, King thinks that Caroline and Stefan make a great couple. That’s right, Candice is a “Steroline” shipper. But, what about Klaus Mikaelson from The Originals? Is there any chance for “Klaroline?”

Unfortunately, The Vampire Diaries actress says that there is no chance at all for Caroline and Klaus.

“They weren’t even together!” Candice King told TV Line. “I have not seen Joseph [Morgan] in so long… Everyone else has worked with him, and all we’ve done is a phone call. It’s just hilarious in the social media world… I think it’s going to be more interesting for them to never be in the same room… It would never work, ever.”

Well, thanks for slashing all our hopes and dreams, Candice!

As for “Steroline,” the couple patched things up on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 finale, titled “Gods & Monsters.” Interestingly enough, it was Alaric who pushed Caroline to follow her heart. To make things easier for the TVD character, the father of twins said they would always be a family.

While it is great that Caroline and Stefan will be together in Season 8, there is that pesky little problem from the Vault. An ancient, evil, supernatural creature has escaped. Just before its departure, it managed to possess both Damon and Enzo. When the show returns, everyone will be looking for the two missing vampires, who are on the west coast, murdering dozens of people. Will “Steroline” even have a chance to create some happy memories?

“I’d really like to see Caroline and Stefan enjoy some of that comfort for as long as we can eek it out,” TVD executive producer Julie Plec told TV Line, “before they have to stumble across another obstacle.”

Recently, it was reported that both Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham would be leaving The Vampire Diaries after Season 8. Some time ago, it was stated that whether the show goes on depended on if Somerhalder and Paul Wesley wanted to continue. With Ian planning on leaving and Wesley’s intentions unknown, will there be a Season 9 of TVD?

Mark Pedowitz would not say with certainty if The Vampire Diaries Season 8 will be its last. According to Variety, the CW president president simply replied that they would have to wait and see how the audience reacts to the upcoming season. This makes things confusing because it was reported by several media outlets that Season 8 would definitely be the last for TVD.

Even though TVD fans don’t want the show to end, many know that it has to sometime. The vampire series lost Nina Dobrev, although she could return at some point. With Somerhalder and Graham announcing their exits, there are not too many core characters left. Just Stefan, Caroline, and Enzo, if those actors decide to stay. Even though new characters could be cast, sometimes it is better to stop while you’re ahead. Everyone has seen TV shows that went beyond their stopping point. Hopefully, the right decision will be made when that time comes.

What do you think of Candice King saying there is no hope for Caroline and Klaus? Do you believe Stefan is better for the TVD character? What are your thoughts on there potentially being a Season 9 of TVD. Should it end with Season 8?

There is no premiere date for The Vampire Diaries Season 8. However, the storyline will revolve around the mysterious creature from the Vault, Damon and Enzo’s possession, and how Stefan, Caroline, and Bonnie will track down their two lost friends.
