Her award-winning performances in movies like Erin Brockovich and The Mona Lisa Smile earned her huge amounts of $20 million and $25 million, respectively. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the Oscar-winning actress charged $3 million for her six minutes of screen time in the film Valentine’s Day.

Julia Roberts’ appearance in the movie helped the filmmakers to rake in $110 million at the domestic box office itself. The financial success of the movie can very well be attributed to the actress because the follow-up movie earned only $55 million, and it did not feature Julia Roberts.

Since 1988, her films have garnered around $2.6 billion in box office collections. However, her latest film, Mother’s Day, is not receiving the same kind of financial reception as her earlier films despite the fact that Julia Robert earned $3 million for her supporting role in the movie. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the romantic comedy featured several famous actors, and Julia Roberts was paid a whopping $750,000 per day. Mother’s Day opened with average ratings and grossed only $8.3 million in opening weekend ticket sales.

Even though Julia Roberts has featured only in a few movies in recent years, fans can expect the Academy Award-winner to deliver another stellar performance in the upcoming movie Money Monster, which was directed by Jodie Foster and which also stars George Clooney. It was Jodie Foster’s dream to bring together the Ocean Eleven stars and direct the movie with them. The movie is a locked-room thriller that portrays George Clooney as a smart television stock analyst who is taken hostage by a viewer who went bankrupt after following the financial guru’s stock tip.

Julia Roberts plays the role of the television show’s producer, who tries to take control of the situation by directing efforts from the control room. Fans are looking forward to seeing the on-screen chemistry between Julia Roberts and George Clooney after their stellar performances in the Oceans franchise, and it doesn’t hurt that the two are close friends in real life.

James Corden took advantage of Julia Roberts’ upcoming movie as a recent edition of Carpool Karaoke featured both George Clooney and Julia Roberts. According to Harpers Bazaar, the episode also featured No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani along with the two Academy Award winners.

The duo was picked up by the carpool when Gwen Stefani was delivering her vintage throwback songs. The class actors joined Corden and Stefani just in time to enjoy Gwen’s “Hollaback Girl” and also to listen to the interpretation of the song. The foursome then let loose in the grand finale of the carpool karaoke segment with their rendition of Queen’s “We are the Champions.”

In other news, apart from the much-anticipated action drama Money Monster, the Pretty Woman actress is preparing to feature in an emotional drama titled Wonder, based on R.J. Palacio’s tearjerker novel. Vanity Fair reported that Julia Roberts has recently signed on to work in the movie along with Room‘s Jacob Tremblay. Tremblay will play the pivotal role, and he will portray a fifth-grader who is suffering from a facial deformity. Julia Robert will play the role of his mother who faces the challenges and difficulties in educating and bringing up her son in a world that views him differently.
