‘Scream’ Season 2 Releases First 7 Minutes Of Premiere Episode [Video]

Scream on MTV has been gaining a lot of ground since its premiere last summer and the subsequent big reveal that left fans of the show reeling with shock and despair. But the first seven minutes of Season 2 are about to blow the minds of fans everywhere, considering how Season 1 left off.

For those who do not know, Scream Season 1 ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger, but the killer was still exposed and it was a shocker to say the least.

This is the part of the article where we want to warn fans of Scream the TV series that there are spoilers from Season 1 that lie ahead. So if you haven’t seen the last episode for Season 1 of Scream then you should stop reading now.

But for those of you Scream fans that are still reading and want a quick refresher, then you’re in the right place.

Season 1 of Scream was a bloodbath to say the least. The episodes played out with people getting knocked off, one by one, by an unknown killer and a whole host of suspects. But the killer (or killers) always stayed one step ahead of everyone that was investigating the murders. That included the police, as well as Emma and her roundabout posse who followed her through thick and thin to find out who was attacking them.

But Scream the TV series definitely would not have been Scream if the killer had been identified too early in the season. There is also that bit about the Scream franchise that demands that at some point, the killer has to be suspected, arrested or at least tried for the crimes, then subsequently cleared of the crimes. That is how the original Scream film played out on the big screen and the TV series seems to be following its lead.

Secondly, never underestimate anyone on a Scream movie or TV episode. Even though they may not appear to have what it takes to mercilessly kill, looks can be deceiving and in every case, there is a better than good chance that a fan will never be able to guess who the killer is until the killer reveals his/her own identity.

The third and final rule to any Scream episode is to always assume that the killer is never dead. There is always that one last breath, that one last clinging to life moment that the killer finds and if the episode is done correctly, it will deceive the audience into believing he/she is dead.

Fans should keep in mind that Scream is not a supernatural horror show, it is a living killer with a mortal body. A body that can be taken down with bullets and knives, just like everyone else. So to assume the killer is dead can essentially be the protagonist’s first mistake. There is no coming back from the dead. There is just a killer who survives his wounds, then lives to fight another day.

So that means that last season on Scream, it was Piper who turned out to be the real killer. But not only was she the killer, but she was also Emma’s sister, a daughter of Brandon James. But what really got fans attention is the fact the Audrey had been discovered as the one who had contact with Piper in the months before the murders.

So obviously, fans are going to assume that she is the accomplice who got away with the murders on Season 1 of Scream. But that is also what makes the first seven minutes of Scream Season 2 so good – and shocking to say the least.

Always remember, if you think you have the killer pinned down on Scream, think again. Then tune into Season 2 of Scream on MTV on May 30 at 11 p.m. EDT.
