‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Season 7 Will Be Hard On Rick

The Walking Dead may have ended Season 6 a month ago, but fans are desperate for any news about the upcoming Season 7. While most people want to know which beloved character Negan killed in the finale, others want to know what’s in store for the show’s main character, Rick Grimes, and it looks like he’s going to have quite the season.

According to Cinema Blend, Rick Grimes is going to have a very difficult time during The Walking Dead Season 7. In fact, creator Robert Kirkman, even revealed that Rick will be a broken man when the new episodes begin to air in October.

While doing a Reddit AMA (ask me anything), one Walking Dead fan asked Kirkman if Rick would be “totally broken” during Season 7, and Robert gave an honest answer, that contained just a hint of a spoiler.

“I’d say that’s a fair assumption. The premiere episode of Season 7 is going to be hard on everyone…Rick especially.”

Fans are assuming that the hardship of the Season 7 premiere will be that of losing a member of the group. While fans saw Negan brutally beat a character to death in the Season 6 finale, viewers still don’t know who that character was, and at this point it’s likely to be anyone.

The main candidates to be Negan’s victim seem to be Daryl Dixon, Glenn Rhee, and Abraham Ford. Although Glenn is the character who is killed by Negan in The Walking Dead comic book series, the TV show likes to mix up the deaths, and that means everyone is fair game.

The character of Daryl Dixon, played by actor Norman Reedus, is arguably the most popular character on the TV show. However, Daryl does not appear in the comic book series. This fact worries many hardcore Daryl fans, as they have no way of knowing when, or how, Daryl’s possible death will happen.

Many Walking Dead viewers have even gone as far as to say that they’ll quit watching the hit AMC zombie series if Daryl is killed off. So, it seems a Daryl death would not only spark a ton of controversy with fans, but also leave viewers completely shocked, and likely top the list as the most shocking death of the series.

However, a lot of fans have gotten behind the theory that Abraham will be revealed as Negan’s victim when Season 7 premieres this fall. Abraham had a very emotional Season 6 finale when he not only made peace with his best friend, Eugene, but also planned for his future with new love, Sasha. Was he just too happy to survive in the Walking Dead‘s wicked world?

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, an on-set source allegedly leaked that Abraham would be the one to die in the Season 7 premiere, but no evidence to support the report has been given as of yet.

Meanwhile, Robert Kirkman weighed in on a lot more than just Rick’s emotional and mental state for next season. He also revealed that the Walking Dead‘s main character will eventually die, and that so will the rest of the beloved group of survivors, even young Carl Grimes, whom is predicted by many fans to be the last man standing when the series is over and done.

“I don’t play favorites. They all die eventually…Carl.”

All of this Walking Dead Season 7 talk from Robert Kirkman has fans more eager than ever for October to roll around and the series to return to AMC. Until that time, it looks like viewers will just have to continue to speculate and debate over which character Negan killed, and what will happen next.
