‘Game Of Thrones’ Spoilers: New Red Woman To Shake Things Up

Game of Thrones fans are about to meet a brand new red woman, and she’ll likely give Melisandre a run for her money. In the latest preview for Season 6, Episode 5, titled “The Door,” a brand new character is introduced, and viewers are expecting her to shake things up.

According to Time, Lady Melisandre believes that Jon Snow is the “prince who was promised” now that he’s been resurrected. However, she once thought this about Stannis Baratheon as well.

Fans of the Game of Thrones series know that this now means that Melisandre believes Jon Snow to be a reincarnation of the legendary hero Azor Ahai, a Messiah-like figure who is believed to be “reborn amidst smoke and salt, wielding the flaming sword Lightbringer to defend the world from R’hllor’s nemesis.”

However, the new red woman might have her own ideas about who the reincarnation of Azor Ahai is, and since she’s seen in the brand new Season 6, Episode 5 preview speaking with Tyrion and Varys, all signs are pointing to Daenerys being the 2.0 version of the mythical hero.

Daenerys seems like the most obvious choice, as she was literally reborn among the smoke when she walked into the fire with her dragon eggs and re-emerged with three baby dragons, becoming one of the most power women in the seven kingdoms. From then on, Dany gained a following, found herself a loyal army, and even took over the city of Meereen. Not to mention last week’s amazing scene where she killed all the Khals and left the Dothraki bowing in awe at her fire power.

Game of Thrones viewers will see the newest red woman, who dresses very much like Mesliandre and even wears the exact same necklace as the original red priestess, as she offers some words of wisdom to Tyrion and Varys, who are running the city of Meereen in Daenerys absence.

“Knowledge has made you powerful, but there’s still so much you don’t know,” she tells them.

While Game of Thrones fans will try to decide if Daenerys or Jon Snow is the “prince who was promised,” the answer may just shock some viewers.

Popular fan theories believe that Azor Ahai is not one person, but three, to symbolize the three heads of the dragon on the Targaryen sigil. Daenerys is obviously one, and the ever popular R+L=J theory could prove Jon Snow to be another, but who is the third?

That is where Game of Thrones gets really interesting. Many die-hard fans believe that Daenerys, Jon Snow, and Tyrion Lannister are all Targaryen family members. Jon, who may be the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, and Tyrion, who has long been rumored to be Daenerys’ older brother, may be the end game of the series.

Is there a chance that Game of Thrones fans will see Daenerys, Jon, and Tyrion running the seven kingdoms together by the end of the series? It seems very likely.

Each one of the characters brings something needed to the throne. Daenerys is fierce, fair, and powerful, while Jon Snow is a born warrior with a heart of gold. Tyrion Lannister would be the cool-headed brains of the operation, and together the three would likely change the course of history, and bring peace to Westeros.

The possibilities are endless about where the storyline could go, and it all may just start with the appearance of the brand new red woman in Sunday’s all-new episode. Fans can’t wait to find out more about the character and what she has in store for Tyrion and Daenerys.
